It seems sometimes the live sellers don't trust putting quality/expensive items on the live shows

If sellers don't trust it then buyers won't

This was a lovely podcast. It is good that Nic and Andrea reassured people that they are welcome to their live meet-up even if they don't resell for a living. The talk about social anxiety was very interesting as it can be so debilitating in many areas of life. ❤

While eBay is trying to imitate Whatnot with "Live" which I think is a fad, Vinted continues to revolutionise the reselling market. Buyers now being able to buy straight from America by only paying £3 shipping and no import duty is something I never thought possible. eBay needs to catch up with this and fast.

Another good Watch fella's. I know that feeling of live shows and agree its exhausting looks easy stand there run items get paid. but scouring, packing 600 units a week, hanging all these items to prepare for a show, running the books, lifting 1200kg deliveries in + everything else involved . As a one man band it kills me but I love it if that makes sense. Hopefully I will be at next Mondays coffee club!.

Not watched the episode yet but I think a good topic you guys could cover is in a future episode is health related issues in this business and things you may/may not have in place if such incidents may occur. For example, if you were to break a leg or become really unwell would the business take a major hit or do you have plans in place.

Do certain insurances cover this issue? I've been in this business now 5 years and 3 years full time and personally have several health conditions that led me down this path of reselling in the first place. Up to now the longest I have had time away is probably 3 days and have had to power through otherwise but even having that little time away you notice the sales drop off for that week...imagine several weeks or so not being able to list etc. It's a topic many people new to this probably don't take into consideration and it's not something discussed in the industry.

Obviously in a 'normal' 9-5 job you have statutory sick pay but I'm not aware of anything available in that sense for the self employed? Pensions and things like that would also be good thing to highlight. Would be a cool interesting listen for a future episode if you guys were to discuss it from your own personal perspectives.

Are sellers that have recently purged a lot of stock on ebay live worried about having a weak Q4 due to lower inventory on core? I think people that have built up core over summer will be rewarded heavily in Q4. Im already seeing a nice uptick in winter clothing and footwear. A big inventory to cash in on core over the next few months is crucial. The sort of people willing to spend £70+ on a nice branded jacket for themselves will be shopping on core not live.

Sounds more like a hamster wheel than a rollercoaster . I think it really depends what you sell . It wouldn't suit my items as they are too niche ,also I think having a youtube presence helps Enormously But Nic & Andrea said their store has suffered and also less youtube Ad revenue Also even with fast selling items means say a £30 BIN item sells for £10 then you're going to have to source 3 times as many to make the same ,pack 3 times as many . It looks like a lot of extra effort but if it works it works ,Time is more valuable than instant money . A quick question .All i've heard is increased turnover but what about the profit ratio . More work for lower profit ? Or more work for extra profit ? per hour . If you listed just on buy it now with the same effort would profits increase or drop ? Interesting Video even though it doesn't apply to me i just list and forget .
