I don't see enough appreciation for Nikolai coming back to exfil Soap and Price despite being told otherwise

"Echo-Charlie" in this context is used for the formation of troops, that formation being "Extended Column"

Oxide is basically Philip Graves of the old trillogy

Shadow Company’s voice work is awesome. Their tone of voice sends shivers down your spine.

Always felt bad for price in this mission...

I vividly remember the line "i've seen these tactics before, these guys are SAS" after i've flatlined their entire shield line with a grenade 😂

I mean tbf I too would be sh*tting my pants if the people who I was hired to kill brush off bullets like they're nothing after dumping 1 to 2 mags on them, you just see them disappear for 4 to 5 seconds and they're back in the fight.

14:48 Not just the radio, he's actually heard speaking over loudspeakers. Which makes it somehow even more terrifying.

Ngl mw2 made soap and price look like SPARTANS at the end

Another thing to consider is the Shepherd is clearly older and a 3-star Lieutenant General. He’s at least in his 50’s- early 60’s. This game takes place in 2016, so he’s been in the military probably for life since he was 18. So he’s either been serving since the end of the Vietnam War or just after. So like Makarov, the end of a War very much motivated him for life, though it was losing in Vietnam for him versus losing the Cold War for Makarov.

One can only imagine what he did in his long career to get promoted so high in the military. I’m betting he did a lot of crazy shit in the Gulf War in 1990-1991 and the early Middle East wars of the 2000’s pre COD 4.

Shadow Company is so cool and is only defeated by plot armor

9:37 must have been the wind

8:38 "Nobody's that good, Ox-"
General Sheperd: "It's Price"
Always loved this part: Sheperd shits his pants when 2 lone SAS operatives are slowly killing his elite mercenaries 💀

I love how Shadow Company is depicted. They really remind me of "GlobeX" strike force heroes (old old flash shooter game that was heavily inspired by CoD and BF). Cold, cutthroat, and absolutely ruthlessly efficient.

Shadow Company is the best part about MW universe

Never realise that sitrep mean situation report :o

Given how most assets currently struggle to take out small naval drones, Price and Soap surviving is almost natural.

11:56 "Jarvis, target extreme heat signatures with extreme prejudice"

Im glad someone finally made a video on this

This remains my favourite call of duty game of all time. Granted, you don't get to fight the United States army directly and have to fight them through a proxy with just enough separation to not have a game that directly critiques it, but still enough that you effectively get to doomguy your way through blackwater mercenaries in order to kill a high ranking american officer. This and the non-canon ending to cold war (WHERE YOU EFFECTIVELY DECLARE WAR ON THE ENTIRE UNITED STATES) are definitely my favourite moments in the whole franchise, only topped by the ending of world at war, WHERE YOU LITERALLY PUT THE VICTORY FLAG OVER THE REICHSTAG TO END THE GAME. (Which, in hindsight, explains why he appears in the next game just to die in agony.)
