This was his 5th win of the year not 6th unless your counting the All Star race then he won 7 cause he also won a Twin 125 at Daytona to start the year off.

Kyle Petty (GM #42) won the Carolina 500 and then got injured during the Alabama 500 and missed half of the schedule. Meanwhile, Dale Jarrett (Ford #21 in 17th) won the Yankee 400 after a hard-fought battle, Alan Kulwicki (Ford #7 in 14th) won the Volunteer 500 and Geoff Bodine (Ford #11 in 16th) won the National 500.
Drivers listed are the season's current top10, last season's champion and whatever race winner that doesn't fit any of those 2 descriptions. I'm using the unsponsored names for races and in Phoenix’s case the race is the Phoenix 500km.
One of the great What ifs in NASCAR is Davey Allison. I believe if he would not have tragically died in 1993, Earnhardt only has 6 championships, Gordon has 2 championships, and Robert Yates Racing would still be around as Allison Racing.
