I heard that Paul or Jimmy did not mention the release of Rubber Soul. I don't know if that was true. More important, I am pleased your start being a fan was during the Flowers in the Dirt album and seeing Paul Live the following year is very nice. I've been a Beatles fan since I seen the Beatles in Ed Sullivan, perhaps a few months before, Canada released She Loves You. I think that was my first listen to a Beatles song. I read Hunter Davies book at the High School Library had a copy. That opened my eyes to the Beatles music in the studio. I was shocked the Beatles break up and Paul releasing McCartney during the release of Let it Be, my three friends were all Beatles fans and we played the records daily. My Parents were not Beatles fans, until I played RAM on the stereo consol and they loved Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey. So there was a breakthrough for my taste in music more accepted as time went on. My wife in 1976 we loved Speed of Sound and played the album on our honeymoon. The 1980's I loved Paul's albums and when Flowers in the Dirt album came out I bought the cassette tape and played it constantly during our summer holiday travels. Off the Ground has more deep cuts, but Flowers in the Dirt gives us fond memories. I hope your time away is good and keep safe. Take care.
