I remember this color scheme was my go to when I fist collected guard when I was an early teenager. Now that I’m back at it and starting fresh, I was disappointed the citadel paint line had changed. I was looking for a painting guide but nothing relevant was out there, until I came across this video. Thank you for the well timed inspiration.

Working on some kitbashes for a regiment raised from a desert industrial world and this is perfect for them. Highland/badland colors with red to show ties to the AdMech

Oh, you asked for suggestions for possible video ideas at the end of the video and I for one would love to see how you painted the tanks for this same army.

"OhI just looked at one of his vids this morning" I thought to myself when you uploaded this (I was wrong, it was a Brushstrokes Guides vid that I checked this morning). Good vid. A classic pattern too, they used that in an old WD iirc.

An added advantage of using a lot of the same colours is that it costs less to paint the miniature because you don’t need to buy as many paints. And as you said the different parts of the model end up looking different because you shad and highlight them differently. I do love these cloud scheme and I am very much considering doing something similar.
