US basket: money, sponsored show
EU basket: WAR

Only balkan countries are so creative with curses

Serbian and Greek Coaches dominating in this video:)  lots of love to both !

That coach at 1:37 is Željko Obradović, a man who won 9 Euroleagues with 5 different clubs, by far the most in Europe - the second most decorated coach won 4. Gregg Popovich has been a longtime admirer of Željko Obradović. He is strict and demanding, but the players adore him.

When Zeljko yells the refs stand still and listen :D

Giannis Ioannidis  0:58,  09:00,  11:00 and 16:53 RIP He was a great coach one of the best in Greece ever.

European players coming to the NBA: "Ooh, this is nice and easy..." 😊

The first dude being sent back to the locker room was MVP

Translation is very family frendly, those curses are waaaay worse

European basketball culture is something else. The amount of passion that revolves around the game is insane, from coaches, players fans and organisers, especially in the clubs that have a nurtured decades long culture. On the coach side, dw about the players. Those who are forged in these clubs turn out as great players and most importantly great people! Glad you liked it man

At 17:21 is young Bogdan Bogdanović (Hawks SG), and the coach is Duško Vujošević, the greatest talent polisher in Europe, the man who produced the most NBA players from Europe. After this incident, Bogdanović played an incredible playoff series in which he averaged over 30 ppg and almost single-handedly brought the championship to the club.

At 1:37 player that Željko is swearing to is actually his superstar player, so everyone is included

At 16:48 where he give him his Jacket is a "move" to say that someone is "SOLD" getting money to rig the game  in greek is "παλτο(palto)"= jacket = undercover

In european basketball and generally sports , if your coach doesnt yell at you and curse you , that means that he doesn't feel you are worthy,  he doesn't care about you.
We men , are boys , and even at pro level we remain boys and can be easily distracted and play like stupid. The coach job is to keep you in the game , and get the best from you.Discipline is what make you champion.Thats how we play and we like it.Especially the Balkan people...

9:55 The BEST coach Serbian national team ever head.

As a Greek, maybe we are very loyal to our religion, but yes the Greek coaches curses very much:Ioanidis,Sfairopoulos,Bartzokas (This is most famous) and even that woman coach

I don't see the problem. My basketball coach used to curse us daily. And we were 14. I think it's part of the sport. 🤣

17:21 Nah mate, they call it 'literally abusive' in the US perhaps. We call it 'tough love' in Serbia. I'm surprised there isn't more of coach Vujosevic here, some of these clips are way too vanilla for him.

My man,in Europe, every game lost is a little bit of a tragedy, especially in Serbia and Greece where you have two dominant teams, and every game they lose except from each other is a sensation.
Pressure for a good result is enormous and you don't have a luxury loosing games against inferior teams.
In Europe bottom two teams are going level down (something like two teams with worst score in NBA would be relegated to G league),so yeah, that is what you can expect if you go overseas.
Some of the coaches you saw in this video are some of the greatest ones this game had and many players came to NBA after they spent a few seasons in teams coached by some of these guys.Quality of basketball, especially in Euroleague,is far more greater than NCAA and G League.
