One of the defense attorneys actually said-no one in this room has been through what we’ve been through……. In a room full of family who lost a loved one to the school shooter! Unbelievable

The defense's behavior has been absolutely horrible, very unprofessional, and without capacity for empathy.  Disgusting.

In the past few weeks we have seen two amazing female judges preside over very difficult cases involving mass murderers. Hats off to these amazing women!

I love that side eye the judge gave towards the end. She can’t stand that lawyer, I can tell

I love the lady with the glasses from the prosecution, so elegant and well-spoken and she truly seems to care

Thank You to the Prosecution for standing up for the families and victims.

WOW. The defense attorneys.. especially that “lady” is HORRIBLE

Did Melisa McNeil forget that Nicholas Cruz has already been found guilty and that this is the sentencing hearing? Where'd she go to law school, Darrell Brooks University?

When the defence guy said that no one in this courtroom has had to endure what me and my team have had to endure.  Even if he felt the parents did over step the mark at times by attacking his team personally you would think someone with an extensive education and years of experience would choose his words more carefully than playing the poor us card infront of these poor
families who’s lives have been forever
darkened by their clients actions.
They have behaved impeccably under massive amounts of emotion and stress.
Really amazing people . The judge is a lovely lady too from the bits I saw

These defense lawyers are horrible horrible horrible!!! SHAME on each and EVERY ONE of them. Period

Man, you begin to really become disgusted with lawyers and their theatrics!

"I know their family members were murdered by my client but could you please ask them to not make him feel bad?"

They are putting up this huge argument over a convicted killer, this is a sad situation.

For people defending the defence team: We're not mad that they are doing their jobs - they have to defend him and that's fine. We are mad about their childish and insensitive behaviour towards the victims. Yes, you have to defend the indefensible but you do not have to laugh/joke around with him by throwing a middle finger up. You also don't have to be disrespectful and state "THESE people will never not be affected by this" while waving a hand at the victims of YOUR CLIENT (his guilt is not even in question on this; he's a proven and admitted mass murderer); do not look down your nose at his victims, do not try to minimise their loss and making yourself the bigger victims. At the end of the day, you get to go home and hug your kids while they do not. THAT is why people are mad at the defense.

That victims impact is in place for a reason!! If you had a loved one that was senselessly killed it helps in the healing process to address their killer

The defense attorney's behavior during this whole case has been appalling. I hope their careers and personal lives suffer a quarter as much as these victim's families have. They should be ashamed of themselves and I can tell you those who have watched them during these procedures find them all disgusting.

Let these people speak
They have been hurt enough

Love this Prosecutor's response about who are the victims here.

Screw the defence attorneys!!! They have been so incredibly disrespectful to all the families and judge! God forbid they ever have to go through what these families have had to endure. I hope their kids remain safe. Shame on them , oh and so  now you are a caring parent????

That judge is the real deal for shutting that lady down
