I like how they talk about the money to be made by the ā diet industryā but they never talk about the billions being made by the junk food industry. They love you fat they want you fat they want you eating everything you can get your hands on yet no one seems to bring that up.
I was 235lbs as a 5'4 woman. I couldn't fit on the carnival rides with my daughter and that was my wake up call. I want to live, not just be alive. A few more lbs and I wouldn't have been able to horeback ride with my kids. I'm 201 now, 33lbs down in 5 months. NO ozempic. Just decided I'm done being this way. Excuses don't move the needle on the scale, actions do
The things that are not normal but may be accepted as normal due to being overweight:
Getting tired easily Difficulty breathing Type 2 Diabetes All illnesses and heart issues related to Type 2 Diabetes Swollen feet all the times Body pain all the time Weak Joints Inability to bend down to tie shoe laces Inability to cross your legs General distrust by others because they believe you lack discipline Other social disadvantages
I was 311 and now am 192 and still losing weight but unfortunately damage has already been done. I had a defibrillator put in the 5th of this month. Dont think it wont catch up to you.
What helped me the most, and I canāt remember where this phrase came from, was reading that āwe live in a food environment that is openly hostile towards us.ā We are bombarded with so much ultra processed food and advertisements, and people telling us that crap food is ok. Every food decision is like fighting a tiny war against it.
Every time I eat unprocessed food/whole food/homemade food, thatās a win.
Every time I didnāt grab a snack/prepared food for a car ride and instead waited until I was home to eat, thatās a win.
Every time I have a rainbow of foods on my plate instead of *beige*, thatās a win.
Once I understood THAT, it was easy.
Anyways, I stumbled upon your videos yesterday and love them! Iām down 35 pounds the last year and have a few more to go! Iāve also gained muscle from working out for the first time in my life. For the first time in about a decade, Iām no longer class one obese. Soon I wonāt be overweight anymore either ā¤
All I hear from her is that she is mad that body positivity is gone, and more and more people are losing weight and being healthier and she is no longer seen as the medium sized girl in her community, thatās bothering her cause now she canāt make excuses anymore š
I am happy you started your channel. I literally have overweight friends who are body shaming fit people online. What kind of world are we living in now?
The community is also shrinking because people are getting tired of FAs calling everything fatphobia, having takes such as thinness=wanting to be attracted to CHILD PREDATORS, equating it to being gay or black, the hypocrisy, and the entitlement. It's getting out of control.
I love your commentary Mashie. I am glad the fat acceptance movement is being exposed for the unaliving cult that it is. Keep on speaking truth to power. š
11:45 OMG i've been noticing this frequent FA contradiction too and it drives me crazy! like, are you just temporarily "residing in a fat body" like a hermit crab, or do you think your soul will leave your body if you lose excess fat?
My reason for losing weight is simple. I want to live. I donāt want colon cancer to return. I dont want to get diabetis and live that horrible life. I wat hed my sister die from it. I want to heal my fatty liver. I want to be comfortable in my own skin. Again.... i want to live.
