The Simple Mistake that Consumed 261 Souls MID-Flight | Mayday Air Disaster | S11 Ep9
Preparing to take a group of African-Muslim pilgrims home to Sokoto, Nigeria, Nigeria Airways Flight #2120 takes off from Saudi Arabia’s sprawling Jeddah airport in the blistering desert heat. But once in the air, the pilots get a warning that their plane is not properly pressurizing. With their aircraft losing hydraulics the pilots struggle to turn back towards Jeddah. In the meantime, the cabin fills with heavy smoke and fire.

burning bodies falling from the sky must have been pretty freaky for people on the ground too

Time and time again - first sign of trouble, abort the takeoff!

Extremely tragic. So many people die because of the negligence of a few.

I'll never fly again, I did my time flying in the US Marines where I flew a CH-46 Sea Knight helicopter and flew many times per week. I'm done flying. I'll take a ship, train, bus car etc... but no more flying. Rip to all the passengers. May God keep them at peace. !! Your death will not be in vain, the tradegy will be looked at and study as to what happened and will help future fliers.

I'm kind of amazed that a mechanic would not be trained on the importance of properly inflated tires. It seems like that should've led to an accident far sooner.

@Edward-j7d9l 2 months ago

I wonder what's worth falling or crashing? My Lord! My heart goes out to them

@Edward-j7d9l 2 months ago

A damn tire caused all these deaths? Just nuts.

@Edward-j7d9l 2 months ago

Such devastating events. The plane was devastated. Just nuts thinking anyone could survive.

One second your living, next your deceased. Life sucks man, then you die.

@oriana7026 6 months ago

This is right up there with the most horrific experiences ever.

What a horrible way to die! Roasted alive, slowly,...inside an airplane!! 😢😢...and even some people falling off the plane, like tiny fireballs...what a horrific scene man!....I am glad all these accidents happened so many decades ago, because thankfully I have not heard of any air flight related accidents like these in recent years or are super rare....the most horrible one was from a year ago I think, a military chopper crashed with a small jet carrying a group of teenage sports team or something, 😢

man my hands are sweating on this one heart is pounding

One problem is you have someone in the control tower dressed in a bed sheet tied to his head with a piece of rope.

Can't imagine how terrifying those poor went through.

Idk why but when the captain said "the air thing just broke" I kinda laughed (I know it's just a show dramatization but picturing a captain saying that sounds kind of funny). RIP to all who lost their lives that day. So many times money is always put first before safety. It's a scary thing to think about.

I would have just jumped as opposed to burning to death. Screw that. At least you could have an open casket.

@MS-715-7Y 3 months ago

Nowadays you can't even get off the ground, if there's an annoying passenger onboard. A boom and shake during takeoff would require an immediate return to the runway, no permissions needed.

@paulabrown6840 3 months ago

When you hear a bang during takeoff you abort!

This is one of so many disasters that could have been averted if the pilots could see the outside of the plane. Why do planes not have cameras pointed at various parts of the plane to give them a better view?
