The correct way to beat super Mario bros is in a Buffalo Bills shirt apparently. At least that was how my brain took it 😅

I've been in my 40s now for 7 years. It never gets old.🐔

Im happy to see that world 8-3 is still causing panic attacks ti this day

Fun fact. Did you know that Mario made its debut  in 1981 in Donkey Kong as "Jumpman".

This Video Game was originally called BiG & was almost complete, but the marketing team wanted to make sure it sold well. They decided to use a character people all ready knew N that was Jump Man from Donkey Kong which they named Mario from Mario Bros. Since the original Game was a one player in BiG they re-did it as such N that is why there is no Luigi in the OG NES Super Mario Bros. it was such a great idea no one questioned where Luigi was? That is how BiG this game became! See what i did there? Ha-Ha!! So you could say Super Mario 2 is the OG Sequel to Mario Bros. Both Great!

I remember my older brothers doing the infinite lives exploit when I was little and dying every single time I tried it. It was a real kick to the old ego, may have scarred me for life actually Nate. What walk down memory lane this was.

The video game "Mario Bros" is the true original that came out in 1981. Super Mario Bros came out in 1985.

When channels like yours are created it brings me great joy that Youtube exists. I am 45 and after watching about 20 of your episodes I just had to comment. I have had some demonic form of the flu (thats right, my flu virus is way worst than anyone else’s)for the past three days and thank God I found you on day one, this is day three and I believe I will live. To celebrate my defeat of such evil forces I felt like leaving a comment, only because now I have the strength to lift my finger repeatedly(pause for dramatic effect)
Anyway, thanks for doing this. I have laughed so much. Hope to be able to tune in on Tuesdays for the live version.

That "beanstalk dance" is amazing in ways only a classic 8-bit game can be, but I had never heard of or encountered it before watching this video (for reasons explained in my previous comment)...

For the infinite 1-ups... The second time you tried it out, you would have wanted to tap right ever so slightly, so you could keep bouncing.  You want to remain left of center of the Koopa shell.

Some of my favorite memories growing up was watching my uncle play this better than me as a child.  He made it look so easy.

The Hammer Brothers were so scary to me as a kid too.  I think if I found out in the 80s that Koopa shells slide right passed them, I would have cried myself to sleep.

The beanstalk dance was iconic when I first was shown it as a kid! Still is! Still the most iconic, influenctial and important game of all time! Just started the video so will probably edit.

I'll never forget that first time finishing. I left the console on for hours, it was my only proof.🎮💙💛💚

Going through all levels is the way

The World 3-1 turtle trick for the unlimited 1-ups is best performed as Super Mario or Fire Mario.  Be careful, as the game WILL suddenly just end if you actually get too many 1-ups.

The same Christmas I got the NES and so did my cousin. They lived next door to us. So his folks got him the one that came with Mario and duck hunt. I got the one with duck hunt and gyromite with Robbie the Robot. I hated that robot and guromite. I also got Zelda.

Music brings back memories

Wow, I didn't know about the coin blocks in the end of 1-4

Bro, your level of talent is high learning and comedy all combine.   It’s awesome.  Totally brings me back and is nostalgic for me.

Visceral memories just watching you play. Can feel that little slide and the difficulty controlling Mario like it was yesterday.

I love that you went warpless!  As a kid, I had the same idea to go through all the levels I never look at and it blew my mind to see those later difficult world!  My first time saving the princess (with warps, of course) was at the JC Penney lay-away department.  I knew my parents were going to take forever so I started playing the NES they had there on display and I remember my parents coming for me and yelling that it's time to go just as I bet King Koopa for the last time
