The Command Zone has been reserved for creatures (and vehicles now I guess), but what about the Planeswalkers? The strongest characters in MTG Lore? Well, some of them manage to skirt the rules and are legal options for Commander...

Fun fact, Grist is actually just a tiny bug in the lore. She has the ability to manifest swarms. The skeleton and bones we see in the art isn't actually grist's body but just something her and the swarm are moving around.

Elminster being the only one I have a deck for was a beautiful shot to my head.

make a pip only deck where each card has a pip cost and no generic mana costs, no need for a sol ring in this commander deck :)

I keep seeing a guy ask for a single artist deck and barely get any likes, but it's a cool idea and now I'm making a WG Rebecca Guay deck and a RWB Wayne Reynolds deck. Thank you unknown requester

Make an all planeswalker deck, now that youâve explained how to have a planeswalker commander

Grist, the Hunger Tide is my favorite, because that loophole that makes it a creature everywhere but the battlefield is awesome, and exactly what I think Modern Horizons sets should strive for: Cards that are more mechanically complex, reference other cards in fun ways, and mixes of keywords and effects that can have cool flavor when combined (Feaster of Fools, with both Convoke and Devour, is my favorite, since the flavor is that the people summon a demon, who then eats the people for power).

Tibalt is a really solid card, as a commander and in the 99. He might be my favorite legendary so here's some cool knowledge about him.
The theft being local to his emblem means that killing him doesn't lose you the exiled cards, which is a rare feature among exile focused cards. Even if he is destroyed, it's very easy to recur him by putting him on top of your library from your graveyard using cards like Forever Young and Haunted Crossroads.
He is an incredible value engine in Rakdos. His +2 basically boils down to "draw four cards into a separate hand." You just happen to draw three of them from your opponent's libraries. The separate hand element is also important, because it allows for you to play mass discard spells like Sire of Insanity without sacrificing your own card advantage.
A word of warning. Since people can see what you've exiled with Tibalt, you can become the archenemy very quickly. It doesn't matter what everyone else has in their hands because your opponents can't see that. What they can see are the scary cards you've stolen with Tibalt. You exile someone's Etali and it's gonna be hard to convince the table not to jump you.
With that in mind, run archenemy cards in your Tibalt deck. Tons of protection, tons of removal, and plenty of ways to recur Tibalt to your hand because people are going to try very hard to increase his commander tax to unpayable levels. Putting him in your hand circumvents this.
As a small tidbit he also has a funny interaction with Jodah. Jodah's "cascade like ability" doesn't follow cascade's regular rules, so if you Jodah cascade for two into Valki, you can flip it into Tibalt for free. Not that Jodah decks need the edge.
Thanks for coming to my Tib Talk. I love and deserve your cards more than you do.
