yelling at the guy on the computer always helps things go faster

I was the FX DP who shot the guy being diced by the laser beams, but unfortunately you don’t see the whole effect in the film, just an out of focus head section. We shot his entire body falling in pieces to the floor. The detailing of the sliced body parts was remarkable, but not seen in the film. Still, that’s show biz! We shot the miniature train and lift shaft sequence too.

Commander would have still been alive if he stood by the door

The laser just cheated 200 percent.

This scene always gets me. Man it was crazy watching this back then.

“The lights are activated. Nothing to worry about.” Yeah, famous last words. I know this scene was a triumph of great visual effects and superb makeup effects, but it still gives this viewer a bad case of the scares. Hats off to the makers of RESIDENT EVIL.

I always felt like the Commander would've moved back as far as possible & pressed himself against the door once he clocked the laser web. I don't think he would've just stood there & died

That is some FANTASTIC dialogue. No wonder this won so many awards.

Still the best of all real world RE movies and one of the best Zombie flicks in general. The claustrophobic, isolated atmosphere in the hive is unrivaled, it's exactly what a good horror movie should be about. The other movie may had more action but not nearly as much atmosphere.

This type of security should be there in every vip secret facility 💀☠️💀☠️

This is really cool. It's nice to see that they could not disable the laser in time

I always forget how stacked this damn cast was for a B-tier movie.

Resident Evil has so many iconic characters, and it's unfortunate that the entire franchise only focused on Milla Jovovich's character.

These scenes were the only thing of value in this entire movie series.

I was 15 when this movie came out,….The zombies, the monsters, the gore, the apocalyptic scenarios,…. None of that scared me. I went home that night and had nightmares about being trapped in that laser field with a bunch of people. Made the hair on the back of my neck stand on end.
