Big up yourself for raising this issue. I’m been saying this for years. It’s sad. I’m from a big Jamaican family. I’m in my 30s. Whole heap of cousins. I’m the only one with a Black partner. My wife and child are Black (I wouldn’t have it any other way). It breaks my heart that he doesn’t have any Black cousins and that there’s no real Black community for him to be part of in the UK. These folk dating out have really not thought, or cared, about the effect it had on our community. I’ve had to accept that our community is going to disappear. I hope to move to Africa or the Caribbean to secure my family’s future

No matter what people may think you need black couples not mixed to keep the culture alive if anybody thinks different is clueless

Mark. You are speaking the truth.  Half my extended family are in Sheffield.  I went to a relatives wedding.  I was talking a young white girl.  Straight white.  Talks like a member of the family. Turns out my cousin’s son  had a child with a mixed race woman. This girl was their daughter.  I’m 62.  She must be 20 now. Black skin gone in 3 generations. 😢

Anyone wondering what the UK Caribbean community will look like in the next 25 year's, there it is at this rate 🤷🏿‍♂️🤷🏿‍♂️🤷🏿‍♂️

Every Black hair salon I’ve ever been to has spoken about this topic since the 90s. But when unambiguously Black women bring it up, they are personally attacked for it by BM. We could’ve told you that this was gonna happen… Leicester Carnival is just one example of many. BM are committing a self genocide

Back in 1996 - 30 YEARS AGO - I did my GCSE Sociology project on “mixed-race relationships”. My prediction was that, eventually, Black Caribbean people in Britain would become an increasingly tiny and diluted demographic.

People thought I was exaggerating and being dramatic!

Fast-forward to 2026… and now people can’t unsee what’s happening.

We’re a dying breed in the UK. The writing was on the wall from the 90s.

We all have to acknowledge our own role in it - particularly the patterns amongst Caribbean men.

And no, that isn’t an attack on mixed-race people or interracial relationships. People should love whoever they love. I’m talking about what happens to a small ethnic community over generations when fewer and fewer people within it have children together.

The sad part isn’t just the numbers. It’s what potentially disappears with them.

British Caribbean people have punched WAY above our demographic weight in music, language, food, fashion, sport and British culture generally. But culture needs people to carry it forward.

Give it another 20–30 years and I genuinely wonder what will be left of a distinct British Caribbean community. All it’ll be is people who can point to a Caribbean grandparent or great-grandparent somewhere in their family tree.

Thirty years later, I wish I’d been wrong. 🤷🏾‍♀️ But it’s over folks. It’s sad, but there you have it. We have bred ourselves out of existence.

It’s our own fault. Self hate and colorism wins the day. I hope everyone is proud of what they’ve achieved.

I was in college back in the late 80s and a caribbean guy said to me that there is a 20 yr plan to wipe out the black community, which at this time was mainly caribbean. He said they are targeting the men because they are the weakest link. He said they are doung it through subliminal messages,  adverts, the media etc. If you noticed, there were always black men and wyte women in adverts for years. What he said over 30 yrs ago has now come to pass. Theyve started it in America now. Even though 87 of black men date their own race in america, all the adverts are of black men and wyte women. They are doing exactly what argintina did. Don't underestimate government planning. It's all designed.

BM Carribbean males who dated out at more than half of the community do not understand they are breeding themselves out of existence which then has a knock on effect on the Carribbean community in terms of economics. The number of Carribbean food shops have dissappear at an alarming rate in London due to our population numbers dwindling. Plus, I would like to ask all the interracial daters with mixed race children how this has benefited the black community? We still economically at the bottom of the table whilst other cultures/ethnic groups who date and marry in their race have one of the highest education success, home ownership and wealth whlist most of the Carribbean males chased sexually access to non black women.

If you have a problem about the amount mix race people in the Carnival have a word with Caribbean men, they are the ones who overwhelming choose to breed with non Black women, just look at the Black British footballers of Caribbean descent ALL with white women.
