We didn't have to think about diversity in the 80s UK.  It was just life. Not forced.

This is one of those songs that instantly puts you in the 80's.

We didn't think about gender identity. Stop it.
Anything went in the 80s. Everybody wanted to have fun 😊✌️

Huge hit for the Thompson Twins. They were part of the second British Invasion/New Wave that happened in the 1980s

... my favorite lyric in this song ... "I will ask your forgiveness though I don't know just what I'm asking it for."
We've all been there!!!

Now you need to listen to Howard Jones. “No One Is to Blame” and “Things Can Only Get Better” are both good.

Alannah's just a woman who favoured bizarre hairstyles back in the day. She and Tom were married for a while and have children.

One of the 80's greats. I loved Thompson Twins so much back in the day.

Androgyny was a trend in the 1980s, as evidenced by Boy George, Annie Lennox, Sinead O'Connor and a lot of other new wave rockers, particularly from the UK.  Somehow we all survived.

This song - and  many other songs from the Thomson Twins - where SO BIG in the 80ties ... everyone knew them and the songs like "Hold me now", Doctor Doctor", "King for a Day" and so many more !

We called it, " New Wave" and it had some great music.

I love The Thompson Twins! Doctor Doctor is another great song from them.

This band had a lot of hits in the 80s.

Love this so much! And do ''Bananarama' - Cruel Summer''!!! You will love it!

Flash back to the roots of MTV and VH1.

80s new wave music--some of the best music ever and way underrated.

Another banger from the 80's. 40 years old and still sounding sharp. This was a decade of truly outstanding music , we almost had too much , if that's possible !!

People were so much less judgmental in the 80s.  Our administration has pushed us back 70 years or so.  Love this song.  ☮️🎼😎❤️

gosh this brings back so many memories...great times...

From 1983 sir. Album dropped in 1984. I definitely remember this playing on the radio a ton when I was a kid. Hit #3 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts and stayed on for 21 weeks.
