We’ve all held our phone up in a public space looking for free Wi-Fi, and today--in partnership with ThreatLocker--we’re going to get a demonstration of how rogue Wi-Fi networks can steal user data and the surprising places those networks are broadcast.

Came here to point out the irony that this guy's business motto, "Failure is not an option," is the exact opposite of the classic Mythbusters motto, "Failure is always an option."

I think Adam should talk to Benn Jordan about mass surveillance and sound in general, he's built a bunch of interesting gadgets in relation with these systems and I think a wider audience should know how the world is changing around them, without any oversight or rigorous discussions about whether we want or need any of this

My favorite quote about security is (and I am paraphrasing) "All security is a balance of making it hard enough so the wrong people to try elsewhere and still being easy enough for the right people can still have access".

handing tasks over to AI agents feels like putting a NPC from Skyrim in charge.

One of the biggest security risks is cracking down on security too much, and making it so inconvenient that your own people start to circumvent it.

6:30 I love that it logged his failed attempt with the password "ThisIsNotMyAssword"

The best hacker movie is EASILY Wargames.
It shows him war-dialing, finding where the school password is hidden, guessing WOPERs password, and eventually doing the research to find Joshua. Not to mention him bypassing the payphone so that he doesn't have to pay.
And the way the movie ends is with him not being able to stop the program, but getting the ai to understand that the game has no winner.

Adam; if you sign into your home guest Wi-Fi, it is almost always firewalled behind inaccessible VLAN'ed subnet. Therefore you should be safe from anyone that is using your guest Wi-Fi.
In the same manor, you should add all of your IoT devices to an IoT VLAN'ed subnet on your home router, so that those devices do not have access to your personal shares and broadcast traffic.
Most of the new home routers will be automatically configured for a guest wi-fi, and IoT VLAN, and the main personal LAN. None of those LANs should be accessible to each other; hopefully!

The whole "our passwords and MFA need updating" vs "well, I need to be able to remember passwords and nothings happened so far" is an absolute nightmare to have with CEOs and directors.

The team that says "Failure is not an option" coming to Adam where "Failure is always an option" I find very amusing.

Never thought about it before, but using password managers that automatically fill in the passwords to websites is bringing a slight additional protection in that it probably does not fill the fields on a website that is not using that specific domain. I would hope that they could also include a question, "Hey, you are about to use this password on a website that is not the domain we have saved, want to continue?
