2017 Lada Vesta, 1.6-liter 21129 engine – with a whopping 376,000 km in 4 years!!
The engine is in perfect working order, no knocking, no dieseling, oil consumption is 0.5 liters per 10,000 km, and there's a knocking sound from the hydraulic lifters.
At 160,000 km, the check engine light came on, the catalytic converter failed – the controller was reprogrammed. At 280,000 km, the clutch gave out. The timing belt is changed every 100,000 km.
Should we overhaul a working engine?!
