We get a lot of suggestions of places to visit in an outside of The Netherlands, but recently someone told us NOT to visit Tilburg.... so, of course, we immediatly planned a trip. It's a little over an hour or so to drive to Tilburg from Amsterdam, and we are really glad we made the trip.
Tilburg has far more "modern" buildings than many cities around The Netherlands, but we found some really nice areas in the city center during our trip. We had lunch in a decomissioned train car, visited the award winning Lochal building, toured the Textile Museum, and climbed a very interesting tower, all in a few hours around Tilburg. We hope you enjoy following along as we see what there is to see in Tilburg!

✼ ABOUT US ✼
We are Nate and Katrina, two Americans living in Amsterdam, The Netherlands and traveling as much as we can to see what there is to see! Call us expats, immigrants, whatever... just call us already.
We balance work life with travel... as best we can! We would love to visit every country in Europe while we live here, and definitely keep a list of our global “must visit” destinations.
We try to give you a true view of us and how we travel and explore the world. Lots of food, definitely some jokes, and probably some swearing…. Hope you enjoy taking these trips with us!

That’s why Tilburg doesn’t always receive the best reactions.
However, living in Tilburg is really nice and peaceful.
I truly enjoy living here.
There are also plenty of great places to visit, like Piushaven—a harbor where you can take a lovely walk along the water.
