The good: The game ended
The bad: The game started
The ugly: The game was played

In a way, it was good for this new setup to experience this adversity. Florida had nothing but smooth sailing so far. As long as they can 'learn' from this, it will put them is good shape against tougher competition like Texas and Georgia. Go Gators!

Listen to Drinks press conference.  Said they saw a lot of tendencies on tape and knew exactly what Buster was running.  Pretty concerning

The idea I got during the game was that our players were waiting for someone else to make a play.

My biggest concern is the defense and defensive staff and stopping teams from high scoring not just Missouri but Auburn scored way to many points everything else is very fixable

Most of us including myself had this circled as a trap game. Our secondary had been an issue and looked like at times in week 2 showing some improvement but when we played Auburn and Ole Miss those same issues still happened.

I’m not sure why we didn’t utilize the air raid because Philo has the arm and we got the WRs. In so many ways we shot ourselves in the foot

Thanks for this Ali. I was pretty bummed yesterday. We have to remember that this is the coaching staff's first year, and it's the team's first year with real coaches. The first step in fixing a problem is to acknowledge that you have one, and Coach Sumrall did that. Gator football has been wandering in the wilderness for more than a decade. It's going to take more than 8 months to "get right." I'm not disappointed in the kids. I know they're talented and they've been working their butts off. I suffered through the Doug Dickey era (and was in the stands for fourth and dumb), got my hopes up with Charley Pell, then rode high with St. Stephen and Urban, only to have it all go to * with the Zook-Muschamp-McElwaine-Napier disasters. The relentless drubbings of despised rivals in the 90s-00s, and the embarrassment of losing to Charleston Southern. In all kinds of weather. Your analysis actually cheered me up. These are problems that are fixable. Not immediately. Not all at once. But fixable. Things that do concern me have mostly been addressed: the O-line, the penalties, the secondary. All things we knew were issues before this season started. Drinkwitz's comment that they 'knew" what offensive plays we were calling is highly concerning ... shades of Billy Ball when everyone in the stadium knew what the next play was. 8-4 and a bid to the Gator or Citrus bowl wouldn't be the worst thing considering where we've been. ˜

There were no defensive or offensive adjustments at halftime; this is what the coaches are paid to do, and they did not do it. I remember a game when TN was beating UF at the half; Spurrier drew up some plays at halftime in order to throw the ball to Fred Taylor ; this turned the game around in the second half. Great coaches are able to make adjustments on the fly; it is a tall order, but it makes the difference between winning and losing.

Remember, this is a 8-4 season predicted prior to opening. With 2 SEC wins, one close and one ranked. There is progress and we have excellent players  and better coaching.

And now that Florida running game showed that he can be stopped. Every team in America should be ready to sell out and stop the run. Don’t worry about the past just shut the rundown, and you should be able to be on your way to victory against Florida

The O-line needs a thorough study. They are doing something on film to tip off the defense

The D never looked good since Game 1.

At least Coach Sumrall didn’t tell us to “trust the process”

I'm glad backups got some reps.

Aaron apparently told Sumrall that he couldn’t see over their big guys to feel comfortable slinging the ball. Coach said some times you have to wing it and go for it, but he felt he’d get better at that , to give him time.
I felt uneasy about this game all day, unlike my previous game day nerves , I can’t explain it , but they fell into those feelings one hundred percent. I’m truly hoping that this will be a good loss, that only good things will come from it with the team. I actually feel like Bloody Tuesday will last all week, not just Tuesday this week. So let’s regroup and hope they learned from this loss. Go Gators 🧡🐊💙

Defense has been bad all year. The difference is when we scored lots of points vs Auburn and Mississippi we were able to keep them off the field more. The stayed on the field more vs Mizz and got more exposed. We must score 35+ per game.

Back years ago we had Tebow on Offense and Spikes on Defense. They were the captains. Ever since then I can’t remember when the last time we’ve had captains on the field like that.

The (continuing) failure of the D was mostly unsurprising.  That they went from "play soft and keep everything in front of you" to "play soft AND get beat deep" was more than a little annoying.  The shocker was the offense getting manhandled AND no real adjustments made subseqeuently.  The 'keep trying to pound the square peg into the round hole' was very Napieresque.

Still stunned. WTF? #GOGATORS

Speed in the secondary is a major concern. How many times did Mizzou receivers simply outrun them to the ball? I didn’t realize the corners were so slow.
