Geega provides genuinely great advice and it gets so overlooked / undervalued in the grand scheme of things. Our General is preaching Truth here folks!
The whole "personal-meta" concept made me realize just how useful and important multiple channels are. Cuz as a viewer, I'm always bothered when I realize that someone I enjoy watching content of has another channel I didn't know about and think "why can't they just put different content niches into playlists all under one channel??" And I guess that makes sense to me now. People engage more so on a consistent content basis rather than just a persona type basis. Of course, the creator matters a big deal in that fan preference, but content or "branding" is the biggest deal.
I'm not trying to make this a job personally, but I do want to give my viewers etc more to enjoy so im doing more research and starting to learn making shorts.
Some interesting advice here. I have nt been able to find a thing outside of streaming, and I am limited to just a PNG model, so not very active outside of Twitch. After streaming over a year now and deciding I do like it, I have made the jump to getting a model, and I have been thinking about what I might do outside of streams with the model. Its a slow grind, but I am having fun with it.
She is so based. Like I do not have any link to my socials on my YT and I only upload speedpaints for now and some of them randomly get like decent views (100+, one got like 600, which is crazy since I do nothing for it), Streaming is a lot more risky and more vulnerable bc talking for hours to no one feels so discouraging. So first do short content about themes that you are into to get people to you and then if you feel like it start streaming.
Thank you for the advice. I take vtubing as a clear hobby, so my main goal isn't getting money or hundreds of views, but it's nice to hear good advices~
I'm just getting started and I think of streaming as recording sessions. Like I'll stream and if I get 0 viewers I get 0 viewers but I am getting the content I would get even if I was offline. Using is more as a practice tool for when I start getting consistent members in my community
One of my Oshi's made TikToks instead of shorts that drew people in until she had her model properly fully rigged. It was just a PNG and the Tiktoks were just cringy voice over's of memes, but it was enough to get her a small audience to build off of when she was prepared to start streaming.
Actually after looking at them again they were less than that. They were audio of a meme being played over the png opening and closing it's mouth. Not the highest quality content by any means
I’m doing my best to become content-pilled. This is just a hobby for me but I still want to give it my all. I have a few streaming friends I’d like to be able to play with them with a vtuber persona. I’m so busy with life so I haven’t been able to start streaming yet.
i'm helping a dear friend Voidrafa who is inspired to be a great vtuber but was stuck. this video helped when i was searching for advice for them. thanks ^^
So not on this account, but I have a separate streamer account I created. Idk what the proper answer is, but I essentially went all in from get lmao. Created my model myself and just started streaming and cross posting shorts everywhere lol. I've learned very quickly like technical stuff in relation to streaming itself along with like editing and have just tried to do better at something each week. Probably not the perfect or 100% right answer, but 2 months in it still feels like progress as the consistency has given me more algorithmic trust along the way. I'm still bite sizing things for myself and like streamlining things for my own workflow, but I'm more hands on of a learner in that way. Also I've built a rather large personal playlist of like these kinds of videos for referencing and like tips of all of these functions. TLDR thanks for the video lol
Edit: Also scheduling videos is super useful if anyone isn't already aware lol lots of these platforms allow for this.
I'm a new(-ish) VTer but the reason I stream instead of scripting shorts and stuff is just... I'm stupid, and have a lack of confidence and friends sooo I can't exactly do that xD
It's one of the things that said "hey it is okay to stream without a model" just don't use the tag.
