On the Hamskea rest, yes you can use the rebound dampener, but not recommended because of the stretch, give and weight. When you install the float, install it with the plunger going down. Helps keep the water and elements from going inside of it. Installed on my hunting and target bows, no issues as of yet. Also helps with storage, keeps the constant tension off the rest.

I live near Great Northwest Archery in Puyallup, and I can’t say enough good things about the owner Shawn, and his staff. They’re genuinely awesome people with great energy.

They’re extremely knowledgeable, they listen, and they seem genuinely interested in everyone who walks through the door. If you need something, they’re quick to help, but when you have questions, they’ll take the time to talk, educate, and make sure you understand what you’re getting into. There’s no pressure, just good people who love archery.

Honestly, there’s something therapeutic about spending time at the shop and at Skookum Creek Archery Club. I’m doing my best to bring people into the sport and introduce them to this community. I’ve already gotten my brother-in-law to buy a bow from Great Northwest, and I’m helping get another awesome dude back into the sport. There’s a pretty good chance he’ll be buying his next bow from them too.

They’re all hunters, while I’m primarily a target archer. I shoot an Elite Varos and absolutely love that bow, although I’ve definitely been eyeing a legitimate target compound as I continue down this road.

MFJJ, thank you for everything you pour into this community, the content, your knowledge, your heart, and your soul. It matters. You’re helping grow something that goes far beyond equipment and shooting bows. You’re helping build a community.

Let’s freaking go. Let’s bring more people into this sport, get more people shooting, get people interested in watching, and build this thing back up.

They may try to take our guns and tax our bullets, but they can’t stop us from throwing sticks and stones.

Respectfully,
Jeff

My favorite part of this whole video was seeing you still running the BAP vise after releasing a video 7 months ago saying the Specialty Archery Pro Vise was your new favorite, lol. BAP still standing strong 💪🏻

I only kid. I’m planning on getting the BAP vise just as soon as my financials allow, and I was thrilled to see you still using it. It’s a testament to its quality. Love the content. Keep rocking and rolling brother man

I've had one on my bow for about 6 months now and I love it!

This may be what I need to get me to switch to a limb driven rest. Pretty sweet!

I wont lie, I think it is pretty cool, may see me using one on my little outings one day. Thanks for sharing.

Appreciate all you do

I love my local shop, Bow N Arrow Shop in Lakeside CA. Just upgraded my arrows from there and am grouping way better!!
But, I also just signed up for Elk Immersion Experience 2027 in Nashville. Im really excited to not only upgrade my machine but also meet and listen to and share who I am with a bunch of YTers I watch. Well worth the worthless dollars asked for in trade 👍. See you guys and gals in March 🤙

I think that’s a very good idea! I know I would have to have one if I had a limb driven rest because I all but rely on the rest being up.

I like it. It’s pretty cool.

I bought one it works great.

It’s a good idea.

brilliant if it works reliably

That's interesting

seems like a cool idea... wonder how well it will hold up over time and in all weather conditions.  Of course, even if it did fail, a limb driven is so easy to repair in the field

New drinking game...chug a beer every time MFJJ says "... and what not"  😀

Ordered one last week, stoked to not have to untie the string whenever I need to tune my bow (which is often cus I'm always tinkering x.x).

All my buddies are grumpy old guys and I am just old so I would need that bow in 60lbs to turn down to 50ish like my Mach 33 but have been subscribed for years now

I like it because now you arrow nock is sting there on that angle with a chance to fall off

Not sure what difference it makes, but according to Vapor Trail, it's supposed to be installed with the body of the float on the side of the rest and the piston going toward the limb
