I bought this TBow riser with Sanlida X10 carbon foam limbs and spent about $300 for the setup. For the money I don't think you could find a better entry level ILF bows you could buy. After using it for a year I changed a few things on it to custom it to me and make it perform just a tic better. Like all ILF bows some strategically placed Velcro, couple limb saver limb silencers, custom bow string ( TTT) and a RCore custom grip and its a shooter for sure. Again for the price I don't believe there's a better choice for a budget ILF rig. Some people will cry about it being a cheap rip off from China but sorry that's life these days and I'd rather have someone do a budget setup to get into the sport then not get into sport cuz it's to expensive!!!!!!

What it usually means is that they used a chinese company to make it to begin with. They then took the design and started to produce exactly the same thing. It happens constantly.

Hoyt was a big player in ILF Olympic recurves, but they were extremely late in the hunting segment. Other Americans pioneered that segment, and when Hoyt brought out the Satori, they blew it a little. A deflex riser is an ok thing but not really a all that great if you don't shoot with a stabilizer. But Hoyt is a great name and a lot of people piled onto it.

(Hoyt did run non ILF limbed hunting recurves for a long time, they were just absent from the ILF hunting/sport bow segment until others had built it out.)

I wouldn't put a lot of weight on the patent expiring theory. This isn't the first, second or 5th Satori( or WinWin)knock off to appear on the market in the last 5-7 years and not the first to appear on Amazon though normally the common place to find them was on AliExpress. Honestly it's not even the first or 50th Hoyt product to be knocked off on Amazon and remember a few years back when Mathews introduced the Flatline series of stabilizers they were in a constant battle with so many near identical knockoffs that would continually appear on amazon. One of our local shops/ranges has a tub full of broken versions of these from various re-brands as they tend to blow up, usually from riser failure. The Hoyt/Win-Win risers of these type bows are machined aluminum where these are very low quality cast. The one's I've seen explode were due to having large voids inside the riser due to heavy porosity hidden below the surface.
Not sure this is a product I'd recommend people buying

Forgot to say I tillered for 3 under and shoot a 490 grain TAW arrow

There's also a locking bolt at the back of the limb bolts

Start at 5/8” above shelf level for 3under👍

2:55 it’s often time dumber than that.

In my dealings with Chinese manufacturing, if you register your patents in China, there’s no protection. This seems simple enough, but many companies will send over schematics to get estimates.

That means they willfully gave them the plans prior to completion of the patent. It becomes fair game.

I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s not just the same factory.

I got this riser but bought tradtech black max 2.0 glass limbs it shoots great definitely want to felt strip all pieces where the riser and limbs touch but other than that its quiet and smooth whole setup is about 300 bucks

When satori first hitted the market about 10-8 years ago, it was $500 riser only with walnut wood grip, the price is nut today n I don't believe it is made in the USA, as the yearly increased price reflects US tariffs on Chinese good, n Hoyt never said it is made in the USA.

This was the first bow I bought when I was learning, easy price point, and shoots great

Love mine! My first traditional coming from compounds and its great.
I have the accutune w/ springy and she shoots slick. We'll worth it.

@chrisbowman2030 6 months ago

I know several guys with Hoyt Satori bows. I owned one myself. Two guys had the Berger hole thread don't cut properly on their risers, so they could not mount a springy rest without fixing the thread first. The risers were bought about 8 years apart! Doesn't exactly scream quality control. On my riser the powdercoat came off after peeling the shelf rest away. Another guy i know had the ILF limb block adjuster screws missing right out of the box. Not what you expect for $1000. Limbs are average at best and not worth the money. Same money will get you some Uukhas which are way better.

I have one an it shoots good but had a custom ttt string made for it an it definitely improved

@ДмитрийЦыганенко-р5е 2 months ago

the shape and size of this bow was calculated by an engineer, and a good engineer at that. so it doesn't matter where the milling machine is located, in Utah, in Chengdu ... or even on the moon. This is why the full potential is only revealed with the correct recommended settings.
Settings:
base - 20.5cm/8.1"(American measurement from the stop point, not center shot)
upper base - 16.5cm/6.35"
lower base - 15.9cm/6.15"
saddle - +12mm/0.5"
I wish you accurate shots

This Bow is very impressive and looks like a beautiful bow to shoot.

@philliporton3902 1 month ago

Yeah, it looks a little bit low. Looks like a nice bow, though, for a 150 bucks what's like the one
Jeremy reyner had in the movie Hawkeye. Think he had a hoyt definitely worth it, though. Thanks for the awesome video

@Xuncovered 5 months ago

I noticed this a while back, here in the UK on Amazon it is sold under the Chinese company name SHARROW! I was going to get it, but, I just don't like the colour of the riser!

@DavidWilliams-st3vy 5 months ago

I thought I would update what I have done with this bow for my 'personal preferences'; I went to longer bamboo core limbs giving me a smother 64" draw to my anchor. I changed strings the factory string on the original limbs was a constant chase for tiller and brace height (after over 800+ arrows.) I am still loving the riser. As a retired engineer and youth archery coach I tinker always looking for the edge. In closing I have recommended this bow and help set up for 3 students looking to start shooting off the archery. The product for the price is very good for a starter compared to the real Satori setup. My opinion.
