What first looked like one unforgettable moment has suddenly become much harder to dismiss. And with Arnel Pineda, Neal Schon, Jonathan Cain and the future of Journey already part of a much bigger conversation, what happened next has people paying attention.

In this edition of the Steve Champagne Radio Show, we break down what happened, the history behind it, why Steve Perry fans are talking and what it could mean for the next chapter of Journey.

Is this simply Journey having some fun — or are we beginning to see clues about where Neal Schon may eventually take this legendary band?

Here’s the question I really want the I Love Music Army to answer:

At what point does a legendary band change so much that it stops feeling like the same band?

Is Journey defined by the songs, the voice, Neal Schon, the chemistry between the members — or something else entirely?

And if Journey enters another chapter after this tour…

what would YOU need to see for it to still feel like Journey? 👇

I’ll be reading these comments because I have a feeling Journey fans are going to be all over the map on this one.

There will never be another Stephen Ray Perry... he was the one who brought Journey to life, and his voice captivated and still captivates millions of people. It's powerful yet sweet... He is irreplaceable... I hope some record label or other influential person pays him tribute while he's still alive, to demonstrate the love that still exists for him. Those are the tributes that truly matter... while he's still alive!

There is only ONE Steve Perry, and no one will ever take his place. Perry made Journey!

Journey was, and always will be defined by Steve Perry. They've been nothing more than a cover band since Steve's departure.

I watched Hugo sing with journey and I would go to a concert near me.Truth is I watched Hugo in his own band in the past but never thought him being in the real Journey band.Maybe they will do some dates in the states.thanks Neil,Jonathan and Hugo 👏🏼

Steve Perry was Journey. When Steve would sing, you didn't just hear the music, you felt it. He puts his heart and soul into his music. No one will ever be able to replace Steve Perry. No Steve Perry, no Journey period.

I think this was a belated consolation from Neal Schon to Hugo for not giving him the job many moons ago. The rumors have it that Neal was flat out freaked out when Hugo walked in to the audition because he looked like a dead ringer to Steve Perry. Obviously, he didn't want a Perry clone that even looked too close on top of sounding similar

Hey i think Journey without Perry is useless for me i just dont see them Journey no more as a singer myself singing Journey is not easy at 59 for me i still can do it but not perfect .I love Steves way of singing and without him the band falls flat for me❤ your show and ❤from Vince.
