You have to give it to Uncle Phil. He apologized to Will after he found he was right about his old buddy being Shady. Never knew that was Mac from Night Court.

I will never get tired of guardians apologizing to their kids when they have done wrong. I hope to be that kind of a parents someday that can give their kid the dignity of an apology and teach them that you're never too good to say sorry.

Will was going to let Uncle Phil be angry and disappointed in him rather than be heartbroken over learning the truth about his buddy.  Definitely one of his best moments.

R.I.P. James Avery and Charlie Robinson

Kind of tragic how Uncle Phil expressed to Will that he didn't have many friends, only for Ernest to brush it off as if he never had investment in the friendship to begin with outside of personal gain.

“Ah! You stupid!” Right there, Uncle Phil and Will had an amazing father and son relationship. Uncle Phil was Will’s dad, no matter what.

Don't mess with the shredder

2:13 was a savage uncle Phil moment. He basically threatened him and told him if Will would had gotten in any trouble he personally woulda made sure he had much worse.

3:45 when a "Old School" member calls you "stupid" THAT is considered a badge of Honor 🎖 🙏

I always loved that Phil called Will "son".
From day one, it was never just a nephew, never just some family member, it was always son.
He treated him like a son, he called him son, and he was the best dad Will could have ever asked for.

I wish I had a dad like Uncle Phil

Will trying to not let Uncle Phil find out about his friend, and then trying to make sure he didn’t spend the night sad

I love their relationship

They had amazing chemistry RIP Uncle Phil

Ernest then gets revenged by messing with Jada in Set It Off

3:39 - Even the Shredder can't help but break character lmao

My french teacher ran into James  Avery in Italy back in the 90s.  He told me James had huge hands and was absolutely wonderful to talk to.

Rest easy Unc Phil 🙏🏾

The dynamic between Uncle Phil, not his biological uncle, and Will was the heart of the show.  One of the last great TV dads.

Ernie must have forgotten that Phillip is a judge because he could've gotten himself into a lot of legal trouble just revealing what he did. He's lucky Phillip just ended the friendship and not had him thrown in jail.

Will knew where Uncle Phil was coming from when he said he didn't have many close friends, he was willing to sacrifice his own relationship with him, in favour of Ernest
