I almost passed by this until I saw it was you, I have watched, as far as I know, all of your Husqvarna videos. I was expecting a different version of how to cut > 45° angles, but I liked this as well.

I really like this jig. I have a question about the placement of the jig in relation to the saw blade. Other youtubers who made these type of jig place an edge of the jig up against the blade teeth, then clamp the jig in place. I don't think I saw you do that. Does it matter if the edge of the jig is not right up against the saw blade?

The problem I have with miter saw angle cuts is that I make a lot of items that are hexagon shaped. There is no preset on any miter saw that I have seen for 30 degrees. Trying to adjust most common miter saw to "exactly 30 degrees" every time is almost impossible....at least for me. I do have a preset at 60 degrees on my particular miter saw so I can cut a board to that and then position it so that when I set my saw back to zero, which is actually 90 I do get a perfect 30 degree cut. My problem is figuring out how to equip a jig of some kind that will allow me to set stops at different lengths to cut repetitive pieces to 30 degrees on both ends. I never need pieces longer that about 10 inches so my saw will reach that length at least. I just cant quite figure out how to build the jig. Any help would be appreciated. I really like the jig you are demonstrating here. I just dont trust the angles on a miter saw that are not preset notches. Even a tiny variation really screws up my projects most of the time.
