How To Make Hand Tied Hair Jigs For Crappie

WOODS & WATERS WITH WOODWARD

My wife Deanna is probably an expert, having tied thousands of jigs that we sold at our tackle shop. She will walk you through the step by step process on making jigs and all the tools and materials needed. Also I talk about how awesome Crappie Psychics trailers are when paired up with hair jigs.

I like to use marabou instead of bucktail, but whatever your fish bite ( chat ) - use that. This was a really good demonstration on how to do it. Thanks for making it.

Addictive! You said it.. I just started tying a couple months ago.. I have spent hundreds and hundreds on materials. I find something I like working with and then go crazy getting all the colors. I already have every color of marabou, hackle, buck tail, crystal flash, ice dubbing, thread and Chenille known to man lol..

I love buck tail if I’m tying a bunch of jigs but if I’m tying for myself it’s either a Kip tail or feather jig

Barlows is my go to but I can run to Monroe to Toledo tackle and get everything I need. And I also love the cicle hook your hookup ratio is so much better

I’m new at tying jigs, been fishing hair jigs for 50 years. I’ve learned a lot off of YouTube. I will be trying some of your techniques. I really enjoyed Yaws video. GOD BLESS
