"which puts him at league average for 1986"

yeah, buddy's back and he's still elite

I want to live in the alternate reality where Crosby never gets that concussion.

Fun story: On the night of the infamous Islanders brawl game, I was working as a drum tech/sound guy at a resort in Palm Springs, CA. I was watching the game on a TV as the band was playing, but couldn't get all the information about what went on as I didn't own a smartphone yet. We had finished up the gig, packed up the car, and were about to leave when Charles Barkley pulled up to the place and offered to buy us drinks! So we walked back in to the bar where the band played and he bought a round of drinks for everyone. In the hour or more that we were there with him (just two band members, me, the bartender, and one other lucky person), the highlights came back up on the TV and I mentioned to the drummer that this was the game I was watching. Charles heard me, and said "yeah, they were getting revenge on Brent Johnson." He knew all about the context, the history...he's a hockey fan! So...that was pretty cool...talking hockey with Charles Barkley in a bar with less than 6 people.

Fluery's save on Lidstrom at the end of game 7 still haunts my dreams sometimes. What a series that was.

Oh boy. 7 long years, because you could see the potential, but it took a cleansing internally for it to come together.

The return of the king

As an Oilers fan for over 30 years your series on them was unreal!  I cant wait for this one.  Just in time for the Hall of Fame game Oct.25th when they play each other too.🎉

That one punch on dipietro was a core memory

Welcome back Ben! Excited for the new series

47:15 That misdirection from Dupuis was insane

I'd love to see a series about the 2009-2012 Coyotes in your style. But for now, I can't wait to see where this series goes! ❤

Damn ben you're gunna make me cry with this one as a diehard pens fan

i finally got around to finishing the video in its entirety and i think one of my favourite parts about the community you’ve built is that you can say things like “wait THAT mikael samuelsson” and everyone knows who you’re talking about lol

Great job explaining the Islanders/Penguins brawl in 2011. I remembered it exactly how you explained it.

i’ve always been fascinated by this time frame of the pens for some reason, so i’m excited that there’s a series specifically about it

32:54 Thank goodness this would be the last time Halak would leave the net and collide with his own player like that!

25:39 i wish you showed the full clip of that goal. Not a Pens fan but thats one of my favorite Crosby plays ever, he completely deked and toyed the whole sens defense for like 6 seconds and finding Letang through sheer willpower. Amazing stuff. Great video though!

21:56 badass by Tocchet

23:01 I was at that game ❤ I was 1½ weeks away from turning 5 years old. One of my favorite memories ever 😊

that 2010 caps season could lead to its own series because the fallout and make up trades that were made from it lead to the caps getting the back to back pres trophies and cup way later than they should’ve
