My rookie year with the Washington Redksins I bought a set of KEF 104 Reference Series speakers. Still have them 40 years! Still cranking!

I love KEF. I’ve had 3 pairs of KEF passive speakers. My first pair was the Q350. I got the R3 after that. Currently I’ve got the Reference 1 Meta. They are staying with me. I love them.

Thank you, Mark. Great video. Too expensive for me. ❤️

Thoughtful review, passion for KEF, and an ASMR-like voice. I'm in!

Yes, Kef 'Eggs' were (are) a thing. I have three in my line of sight right now. Must have had them 25+ years, paired with a Rel sub. They sound absolutely great.

Enjoyed the review Mark. I can really see these selling well despite the price given the quality and the smaller footprint. Not everyone wants a lot of gear in the room to listen to music.

Agreed: I’ve owned 7 KEF products and loved them all, currently own : R11’s , a pair of headphones and KEF XIO. I’m waiting for KEF to produce something that I can attach rear speakers to my XIO wirelessly?

Of course they sound amazing. They are designed to take every limitation of the already excellent LS 50 Meta and address them with the larger driver and Veco. They should play louder, deeper, and cleaner than the LS 50 Metas, which makes them within the limitations of their driver size an edge of the art bookshelf capable of playing up to 100-105 db into the 40's. In that size, and being a complete system with those aesthetics, they are already a classic and a category killer, and $4k a pair is a bargain. Once again KEF raises the bar, and every audiophile is the winner.

I'm using the KEF LSX II LT as near-field desktop speakers on risers with a 42" LG C2 OLED for my monitor and hot diggity dang it's SUCH AN AMAZING SETUP. They're going for $500 at costco leading me to believe they are the absolute best deal in Audio currently. Also hooked up an 8" subwoofer, man is gaming a pure joy with this setup. Those look pretty cool but way too big and expensive for desktop use!

Very nice review Mark.
I will more than likely buy a pair as those are going to sound as sexy as they look.

I used to love KEF products. In 2018, I even went out and bought the first of the wireless range, the LS 50 wireless. I honestly couldn’t find fault with them.
Then they brought out version two. Almost overnight KEF stopped supporting my speakers. Firstly my satellite speaker went completely dead. The main control speaker still worked until it decided that my home WiFi that it had been connected to for years, suddenly didn’t exist.
I was left with two very expensive door stops.
I decided to go back to separates. At least that way if anything goes wrong I only have to replace one thing.
The KEF wireless range is great while they are working, but when they go wrong?

GM☕️🍩
I have been fortunate enough to both actually see and hear this latest creation from KEF
I also had a conversation with the KEF representative as to improving my KEF Is60 set up....a very interesting discussion.
These should be a very interesting rig as they do offer both the connectivity that modern users want with a very unique form factor (WAF 😉).
Have a great day😊

Thank you for this review for these amazing speakers!!My question is, since 4,000 euros is a lot of money, will these speakers last, or will I have to buy new ones in two or three years?

@Neilda 2 months ago

I wouldn't describe them a 'bluetooth speakers' given that most people will use them with Spotify Connect, Qobuz Connect or Tidal Connect - none of which has anything to do with bluetooth. Yes, they have a bluetooth function (as most things do) but they're a bit more than that.

My Micca MB42XG2s also have amazing imaging tbh and only cost around 130usd. Can you please compare it with some lower end Hifi speakers from like Edifier?? Please

@philipmoriau599 2 months ago

it was called the Keff Egg and I'm actually listening to this on those egg speakers

What are your thoughts on running this without a subwoofer at your desk? I listened to them in person, and the bass was decent in a large room. However, based on what I heard, I would prefer a subwoofer. I haven’t heard them in a smaller room like my home office yet.

@jb4863 2 months ago

I would buy them if I hadn’t just gotten the lsx ii lt’s at cost co for $499. Do these sound that much better or just louder and sound about the same?
