I grew up in LA. This is just sad to see. It used to be a nice place to live. Back when I was a teenager (the 80s), i was a stoner surfer. The thing is, back then people didnt want everyone to know they are stoned or high. It was, not just taboo, but you felt like you were part of a secret society. Now.. They can't even help the poor dogs being abused and tortured in LA on Skid Row, how are they going to help people on drugs? Jail hasn't worked? They can have access to healthcare, medical support for their mental health issues, a bed to sleep in, and three meals a day. Access to spiritual leaders who support people in the jail system. So, how did it not help? Being in jail could save their life. This testimony is heard over and over again!

Drove by MacArthur Park last week and it was zombieland. The soft approach on drugs isn't working.

It's amazing that the Council Woman towards the end can be so stupid as to blame the conditions in MacArthur Park on The War on Drugs. The reality if that the state of MacArthur park is due to LA's surrender in the War of Drugs.
