Our leaders say it's racist to clean these places up, never thinking about the little brown and black kids just trying to play and enjoy childhood. Shame on Karen Bass and the council.

Mr. John Alle, my former landlord for my business location. I feel he is a great guy, and it was a pleasure to work with him.

I am 60 years old and that park has always been dangerous. I’ve been going there since I was a little girl, my mom and aunt used to take us there after church. It always had people that were either drunk or high. We always witnessed people falling into the lake because they were so high and weren’t watching where they were going. It got more and more dangerous as time went on so we went less less. My mom and cousins used to take us on the paddle boat rides and we would shop in the surrounding businesses. It was always so much fun for us as kids, but once we started growing up and realized that it was a dangerous area we stopped going. I remember when they used to drain the lake and they would find bodies on the bottom of the lake. You could not go there alone as a female because it was too dangerous. And never never would anyone go and be there late at night. They used to have fairs with music and selling food and different kinds of shows, but then it turned into an area where people would go by drugs and do nefarious things.

This is a brave concerned citizen. Praying that his voice is heard.

Send Tom Homan!

MacArthur Park and the surrounding areas have been a dump for over 4 decades.

Karen Bass must go. Only one worse than her is Gavin Newsom who also must go.

I drove by MacArthur park yesterday evening. And lived near by for many years. The LA city leadership is complicit in this lawlessness. Sanctuary city, soft on crime policies has absolutely devastated that area. If leadership was wise they swallow their pride and start working hand and hand with the Federal Government to get this under control. Federal government could easily setup in one of the empty buildings across the street from MacArthur park and clean house!!

This man seems like he truly cares, there’s a shutter in his voice that screams “ I have seen and hear the unimaginable” he obviously wants to help but he can’t do it alone. I hope California gets new leadership and is able to pivot in another direction, this is definitely disturbing

The problem is easily solved with the right leadership.

LA has shown us that the zombie apocalypse isn't just something made up for movies and TV shows.

And the owners still have to pay their property taxes, business taxes etc. To the city. The city officials are disgusting to allow this to go on.

When I was in my early twenties, I worked next door to this park and it was dangerous back then, but only at night.
It is so sad that L.A. has gone down the drain.

I live on S Alvarado Street overlooking Westlake MacArthur Park, I see everything this man is talking about on a daily basis, I have seen more bodies than I can count pulled from the park, I have seen bodies pulled from the sidewalks from people overdosing, as a non-profit organization THE TREASURE GRID INC, we have sent letters, we have offered advice on what they can do to fix the issue with the park and have been ignored. The city of Los Angeles will not work with our organization, because we do not provide handouts, it is truly a dangerous area and we need leaders to stand up and fix the issue.

How is the city of Los Angeles going to host the 2028 Olympics when they can't even manage a city park. Mr. Alle looks he's on his own

Now you know why Langer’s is closing.

John Alle is a good man. A man I consider a friend. His plight is something I pray for every day. Our Mayor and governor are in on this living nightmare. They support it. Why are Newsom and Bass still in power? This is 💯 unacceptable!!! 🤬

My long time friend was murdered by this. I am licensed and carry. I sold my property and moved to another country. I will never return.

With dirty vendors, zombies and all that, every time I drove by that area I felt like I was in a third world country. Maybe they can recommend this spot to tourists during the next Olympic.
