The younger generation don't know what they were missing Friday night going to a store and picking film and games but just don't get a late fee 😂

You totally took me back to my teens. Some things are better now like the accessibility of obscure titles but I definitely miss the magic which you so perfectly described. I'm so glad that I lived through that period and will always cherish the memories.

My Local over here in Norther Ireland was calles Xtra-Vision im 31 Years old i Loved the Video shop and Miss them dearly had Good Memories with renting Games and Movies 😢

I loved the old independent video rental shops too, they had a charm that Blockbuster never managed to replicate. I also remember the days of LoveFilm delivering DVD's & having a DVD Burner + a stack of blank DVDs next to my PC (for a broke college student who loved watching movies it was heaven) These days with DVD & even Blu Rays being so cheap to get at charity shops I have more movies & old TV shows than I can probably ever watch in my lifetime. Great vid.

Yes brilliant! I was late to VHS but great times finding movies on VHS. The trailers were of similar movies back then, so you found more title you wanted to watch. I only had my local Spar so titles were not vast but good enough. I remember asking if the Xfiles movie was there for a long time. Still catalog titles were £1 new movies £2 back then

HAHA Netflix was  unlimited for a time, was so good until they stopped sending you new titles but claimed "unlimited" but was strangled if you watched and returned fast. I hate how legally it was ok with new terms and conditions inthe UK. unlimited is just that. If they said say 15 per month, I'd be like fine, just slowing DVDa was not cool.

I miss it too and I agree with everything you said

i just miss basic rental stores like block buster. just cus i miss having a covenant way to rent video games. which is just not really a thing anymore. there are services that ship games to you to rent but thats slow as molasses. other services like xbox live arcade is great but they dont have all the games, so what gives modern society. its like the loss of the arcades. we have no real replacement.
