THIS is how the game should be played - uniqueness, fun, and respect.

Dude is literally has a yugioh protagonist backstory.  Much love to this man, I hope he sees the success and recognition he deserves!

HE LITERALLY WON BY WORKING WITH HIS FRIENDS! He literally is a anime protag. Its insane how the pro players just, act like kaiba.

Comes from a lower class family, derided by more "professional" players, comes from out of nowhere to place in the highest ranks of some of the highest-tier tournaments using non-standard strategies...

So Jarel is the real-life Joey Wheeler?

As someone who quit playing tournaments years ago because people wouldn't even shake your hand after a match or even act kindly... this makes my heart happy. Man deserves that win!

I love the idea of "hes only winning because of luck", in a card game, which naturally is luck based, in a game/story with canon that "the heart of the cards" is a real thing. And doing it with Exodia. Legend

Whoever was hating on him in the beginning is why there are now hygiene rules for tourneys.

If you get mad because you got beaten by an underdog with a mediocre deck, clearly there's a big gap in skill level lmao.

Taking Exodia to a world tournament is the most protagonist move possible. Guy's a hero. More people should play like him instead of those 6 Inzector players.

The critisim he got were so smooth brain. Saying he picked the wrong deck when he got top 8 is basically saying he won cause himself despite the deck. At that point your criticizing someone cause you think their steak isn't buttery enough.

Me before the video: "Oh, another Yugioh player doc"
Me after the video: "JAREL MCKAY WINSTON FOR PRESIDENT!"

Story as old as card games. Tournament players focus only on meta, get smashed by one non meta deck, cries instead of appreciating something different.

"He's a rule sharker" you mean he's playing in literally the highest level tournament there is and trying to win? Card game players I stg.

Bro got himself out of the Bronx, out of the hood, to play Yu-Gi-Oh! for us. Coming from a place where you gotta play it cool & smart at all times, they should have known leaving him to himself would have been risky.

He was prolly plotting on the meta situation from the moment they first doubted him, maybe even b4. Idk about anyone else, but I get curious when I hear about ppl that pull game breaking strategies out …

& l I’m not disappointed, hes kinda badass actually

Tears of salty players are always the best seasoning

They robbed him.
Judges allowed the stall, and prevented him from chaining to royal decree. A world championship judge!!??
This competition is a joke.
I had this happen to me in local tournament, can't believe they do it in worlds also

Yugi would have been so proud of him as we all should be. He deserves way more respect for brining Exodia to the world tournament.

Dude literally said Yu-Gi-Oh or crime and chose the hard way ^^

Pro Winston is the nicest Yugioh player you’ll ever meet
