"don't sleep on them, you are too heavy"

If they didn’t just poop whenever they would be a cracked pet

Something to note; while their daily upkeep is cheap, if they get sick
they often require a specialist bird/exotic animal vet, which can get real pricey real quick.

I just got a pigeon. She has a very large personality, flies everywhere in my house. She'll go on this flying spree where she goes everywhere she can. Kinda like the zoomies. Then crashes and naps. Does that 3 or 4 times a day. It's really cute. I'm still trying to get her used to me. I'm being patient but I hope she lets me hold her soon. Right now, just working on her taking food from me. I don't think she understands yet I exist to give her treats. Lol.

I had a dove 🕊 I found and she lived 22 years with me. I miss her very much after she died.

i can't look at this bird and not think about archimides from tf2

I like pigeons and chickens too (especially rooster), they have so much personalities

Rest easy Caesar, hope Pip and you are flying above the rainbow bridge and in heavens garden. 🌈🕊

I have a pigeon and she's awesome. She likes to "walk" around the block with me, I started training her to follow me on my ebike (when she isn't egg sitting), and she loves a good cuddle on occasion. Everyone wants parrots, but pigeons and doves are really the better pet bird for the average person.

I freaking love doves. They are so adorable, silly, and they have the best song out of any other bird imo.

Nothing stops me from a having a one except unexpected poops

I've always wanted a pigeon, they're such lovely animals
and they dont deserve any of the hate they get, and all the lies about them :(
I would like for all of them to live happy lives, and for the lies we have about them to just disspear

they're such loving animals

I rescue and rehome pigeons that come through my veterinary practice. I have one who had a leg and half of one of her wings amputated. They were literally all dried husks tissue and exposed bone upon presentation, yet this bird managed to survive in that state for probably around week. They're extremely smart and resilient birds. And believe it or not 5 years later she's still living a pretty good quality of life just hopping about one leg. She has a padded cage, other special accommodations, of course.

When I was a kid I would find baby Pigeons and baby Doves and would bring them home and raise them until they could fly and let them go free. They would always come back to the house every day around 10:00 am to be fed. They are the sweetest and the most loving birds you will ever find, I know from the 6 that I had, you will never go wrong with having one of them-------❤❤❤❤❤❤.

Cute Caesar!
So cool to find a musician who loves birds. I’m a bass player who owns two rescued pigeons, one of them has a broken wing and cannot fly anymore, she’s lived with my and my family since 2 years (and counting) and the other one came here one month ago, he was a fledgling pigeon that could fly only about one hour before his accident (electrocution with power lines). Unfortunately he lost one leg but he’s strong and full of life though and he’s still with us, happier than ever.

living in a place where i can't keep pets at the moment, but once i can im soooo getting a little dove of my own, theyve been my favorite bird my whole life! im so so happy to live in a world where pigeons exist!

Caesar is such a cutie! Glad to see someone spreading the love of these beautiful little beasties.

"You're a YouTuber now" Oh I died of love

I realllly want to get a red pigeon once I get a house. I've always loved birds, but hated the loudness of parrots and other, more popular, pet birds. Whereas the soft cooing of pigeons and doves has always been soothing to me.

I just got a rescue pigeon, shes about 1, they think she was being bullied by other pigeons either because she wasnt choosing a partner or because shes completely chocolate color in a urban area where most are grayish colored, so she stands out to predators, had alot of head feathers and some back feathers pulled, but her feathers look so nice. Named her Ingrid because she looks earthy and norse, like she belongs in forests
