Mirns is one of the best flat-water kitesurfing spots in the Netherlands. The expansive area where you can stand, the high reliability of the wind, and the good infrastructure make it a top destination for beginners and experienced kitesurfers alike. The only downside is that it can get crowded, and the small launch area doesn’t exactly make launching and landing any easier.
But the great thing about this spot report is that it’s now Mirns 2.0—the access point has been redesigned to benefit the kite and windsurf community, and you can see what it looks like, fresh from the sandbox, in this video.
