I have been there many times

You gotta be kidding on those prices , LMAO

The pricing is preposterous!

Prices are insane

19:41 the El Morocco is basically a 57 Chev that was customized to resemble a Cadillac. I don’t remember the name of the guy who did it but he believed there was a niche market for a downsized Caddy and in 1956 and 57 he bought approx 90-100 total brand new Chevy’s for both years, did the customization then he shut down. Seems like a pretty good number of cars for a small shop.

No wonder they don’t say the prices on their YouTube Channel.

I think EVERY car in this place is out of my price range. Dang.  They market up is insane these days. Thank you showing us the collection Ben.

Imagine the shuffling that has to be done if you actually bought one of them with the way they are parked all willy nilly...

That El Morocco was a customized 57 chevrolet offered with extremely low production . As many as 100 in  '57 and up to about 80 in '56. It was along the lines of the Waldoch conversions  on pickups and vans in the 1990's. They were only about $200 above the Chevrolet itself.

You've got a YouTube collab now

If only I was a rich man, These cars are beautiful and most likely worth the high price, but even if you could afford to buy, what fun is it to keep it in this pristine condition. Not working man vehicles.

Try buliding these cars for the asking prices. Body work and paint alone can easily exceed  the cost of a brand new Toyota Camry.

What brings you to the north metro?  Are you doing the Princeton or Faribault show tomorrow?

sorry. 2 mins in. im good

Ellingson does not own all of those cars, many have been donated by private owners. I watched the mechanic fix a car.

😂😂😂😂 at the pricing, it’s a joke.

90k for a 73 or 74 challenger? Does it have zero miles?

9:40 110K for the 57 I just shake my head. I bought a very nice 57 Convertible for 22K 25 years ago. I thought us baby boomers (the people who buy tri-fives) were aging out and tri-five values were in decline, lol. I also remember when 59 Chevs weren’t as popular as the tri-fives. The 300K 59 Impala? Instead of buying that car give me that 300K and I can find five or six real nice highly sought after cars for you for that money. I’m an average income guy but I’ve had a bucket list of cars I’ve always wanted and now I’m only one car away from completing that list.  I have been successful by using the following criteria: 1. I will wait for as long as it takes for the right car (condition.) 2. It has to be in the right place (close enough to home that transportation cost is not financially prohibitive) 3. It has to be at the right price (motivated seller selling below market value) 4. And finally I have to have the money and be ready to move on the car immediately. You snooze you lose on the real bargains. I’m curious how many of these ridiculously priced cars are financed? All of them? I’ve heard car dealerships make their money on the financing.

I’m not knocking the condition of the cars but how is this sustainable? Only old men can buy these. Women won’t. Younger people won’t. The new hot rods? Honda accords, Toyotas, Mitsubishi, etc. How did hot rodding start? Kids making cheap affordable cars go fast. The game continues, only the players have changed.

All over priced.
