Medal of Honor recipient and retired Navy SEAL Command Master Chief Britt Slabinski gave a talk on “what we owe the dead.” When he was challenged to recite the names of the seven teammates from March 2002 on Takur Ghar — Roberts Ridge — he went blank. He later posted on LinkedIn that he owns it. What he did not own is what happened next: the spin, the pressure, and my wife and I being thrown out of that military influencer conference.
Since the last episode, The Original Sin Part 2, the fight over John Chapman’s Medal of Honor has only gotten louder. Mitch Hall went on Cleared Hot with Andy Stumpf and made accusations against the Air Force and the Chapman family. Britt tried to recast himself as the victim. Jason Redman put his hands on my wife. I said the tape would stay private — until they made it public by lying and by putting hands on my family.
