You missed his greatest moment: when Baal said to him, "You can't be serious!" and his reply was, "Yes I can! I just choose not to. Most of the time."

"Sir, we can't call the ship Enterprise.
-Why noOot!?"
This always killed me :D

Jack O'Neill is one of the best sci-fi characters ever.

Season 1-7 of SG-1 were the golden years of the stargate franchise.

Has complete control over one of the most advanced ships in the galaxy ... First thing he does is turn the lights on and off ...

I always imagined someone on a planet several billion miles away suddenly getting beaned with a random golf ball and everyone wondering where such a strange unknown thing came from.

That time loop episode continues to be my favorite episode though out the star gate series

"Sorry I'm so late, I was finishing up a big lunch."
"Impudence."
"No, tuna."

I've forgotten a lot of sg1, but Jack's time loop sequence of no consequences remains etched in my memory as a favorite bit of the series.

"Well, its hard to say..."

"Some sort of state secret?"

"No, just difficult to pronounce."

Dare I say that Richard Dean Anderson was even cooler as Jack O'neill than he was as MacGyver? Yes I dare! :D

Anybody else noticed that Jack only kissed Sam once he handed in his resignation. So even when he knew he wouldn't suffer any consequences, he still did the right thing.

3:45 when Daniel suddenly  realizes he just told O'Neill he could act without consequence

“IN THE MIDDLE OF MY BACKSWING?!?”

The fact that this post is 14 years ago hurts me in like 35 years worth of places,
This show should never die

O'neill was half the reason I watched this show.  Leader of a super secret/serious project, fools around every chance he gets.

Knowing Micheal Shanks voices Thor always makes their interactions hilarious.

Daniel Jackson: "What?"
Teal'c: "The name of Thor's ship is Daniel Jackson."
Daniel Jackson: "...??"

"In the middle of my back swing!" Cracks me up every time

Richard Dean Anderson was a natural comedian!  So naturally droll and sardonic.

"Sir, we can't call it the Enterprise"
