Delaware Bay boat ramp should be accessible to the public as was once on the Coastal Management plan for over 140 years. It was only found recently to have been quietly removed in 2001, without any legal process and community feedback.

stephens bay is another inshore beach launch spot just before kaiteri and kaiteri but bit busy in summer

You forgot or may not know about the boat ramp at Rabbit Island that is a public ramp but is only accessable when the Islands gates are open so daylight hours

Great video. There used to be a rocky/stony reef or bar just behind where you launched from. If its still there you have to steam parallel to the beach for 100M or so to avoid hitting it. Got caught out probably 50 years ago when I used to go out of there probably 3 times a week, fishing and diving, in a bit of a swell and smashed my prop and skeg up, was very aware of it after that, cheers

Heya mate yip I have been stuck there years ago with my figlass and pajaro as tow vehicle got bogged in the soft sand after my boat would not start and wind picked up was a bit hairy at the time , great tips , cheers , shaneno, nelson 😊

Brilliant explanation! How you finding the F14? I was looking at a F16 although its a cabin and the Osprey 465 SC made in Nelson. Wanting something a bit bigger than the F14 as a crossover. Have you had any experience with these boats and launching solo?
