He's still as sharp as a knife, his regret is heartbreaking

Dickie must be 92 - it is his birthday this month!

Big up and Respect from a Windies fan.

A true English gentleman in every sense of the word. God-fearing, trustworthy, humble.

Sir Dickie Bird would be more appropriate 👍

Wonderful man and fellow MCC member,a great servant to cricket.

Turley honest man in cricketing world every body  knows him and they love  him.

If I can be half as good an umpire as Mr Bird, I will be happy.

Wonderful that his community put a statue up. That's a great man.  Old school English gentleman.

A respectable gentleman and a cricket legend. Respect from Pakistan!

Dickie Bird should write his memories down, so they don't die with him. Everybody should...

The greatest honour one can give to Dickie Bird is that everyone trusted him. I don't think anyone ever complained about his umpiring or his professionalism. He was the best there was and is.🎉🎉🎉.

What a beautiful lovely man.we will never see his like again. R.I.P you legend 😢😢😢

My favourite cricket umpire of all time. He's utter class.

I was on a cruise with hundreds of Australian fans at the cricket world cup in the Caribbean in 2007. One day we spotted Dickie Bird and he came over to join us. He then regaled us for ages with stories from his days as an umpire. Wonderful, charismatic man- and yes, you were a very fair umpire Dickie!
