Jagged little pill is a masterpiece. Not a bad song on the whole thing.

The True Irony is a song about Irony being unironic. It was intentional.

I remember an interview on MTV with her back in the 90s where they pointed out that there's no true irony in the song. It pissed her off and she said, "No shit, that's the f*cking point!"
Being a pissed off teen girl in the 90s....this was my album. Love Alanis. (She was on You Can't Do That on Television on Nickelodeon back in the day, too)

The best example of true irony I use as reference personally is....a fire station burning down. A building dedicated to preventing and stopping fires gets entirely destroyed by one. Ironic, to say the least.

You missed the end of the video when you see that she’s alone in the car again.

Watch her in **DOGMA** with Jay & Silent Bob and Ben Affleck, Matt Damon and Chris Rock and GEORGE CARLIN!!!!
DO NOT MISS THIS COMEDY CLASSIC!!!!

Check out her performance of Uninvited live at the Grammy's.

One of the best debut albums ever.

🟥❤🟥  So proud of our Canadian girl   🟥❤🟥

Would love more Alanis, whether it's BP showing her to new people or more on his particular channel.

Yes 🙌 “You Ought To Know” has got to be the first one he reacts to. It’s a lot harder! 🔥 “Hand in Pocket”  has a great vibe, depending on your mood! ☮ It said 34 million in sale, if you added streaming music it’s 44 million. 😳

Am Swedish and owned her CD from back then ❤

In more recent live performances, she changes the last lyric of the bridge to “It’s meeting the man of my dreams, and then meeting his beautiful … husband.”  Trying to make it more unexpected (i.e. ironic)

I think this video is genius because it is totally a song you blast in your car and sing loud with your friends to. It’s so amazing. Like just conversing about all these things that happen in your life and vent to friends about.

Irony is a contrast between expectation and reality! 😁

A split of her personality. Perfect description of Gemini, her astrological sign

The whole album is amazing. One of the best albums ever made. Proud she is Canadian ❤❤ 🇨🇦

Young G was spot on with the personalities.  I have heard this song and watched this video many, many times but today I noticed the last "irony".  Right before the car runs out of gas, they show 2 cars meeting her, then she stalls and no more cars to help her out! (no cell phones yet_)

Invited live at the Grammy's is a must watch!!

One of the best selling Female debut albums of all time

That lil guy doesn't know the definition of irony. I mean poor kid he can't help it.. they don't teach kids the same these days. 🤦‍♀️
