The 10 Star Wars Ships You'd Actually Want to Retire In!

Most Star Wars ships are designed for conflict, speed, and survival under pressure. They look incredible in motion, but very few were built to support a long, sustainable life once the fighting stops.

This video reframes the question entirely: which Star Wars ships would still make sense as retirement vessels?

Instead of focusing on firepower or heroics, we evaluate crew requirements, consumables, maintenance burden, interior space, defensive posture, and long-term livability. Some ships excel quietly. Others only work on paper. A few reveal why comfort, scale, and ownership are not the same thing.

This is a practical look at what it would actually mean to live aboard a Star Wars ship when you’re finished proving yourself to the galaxy.

I love that at the 2:00 mark, we get a build straight from no man’s sky. Love it.

Hell yeah, lucrahulk is my kind of retirement ship

the Lucrehulk...so basically the Villages in space...

What about forgotten ships. Like VCX 700, 820, The Nonnah, Gaurdian Mantis, etc.

Of these, the 2400. I need something I can maintain myself, and while I don't need a lot of space, the 290 looks like living in your car.

My personal choice will always be the X-79B Phantom. Real "outta sight" retirement.

Your vids are the best I love watching them every time you come out with new ones it takes away the sad fact that we will never leave our solar system

MON CALAMARI ships is also the optimal ship for retirement.
find a optimal planet with huge water depth.
prepare detection systems across the planet solar system along with any tech to hide the ship both in space and planet water.
Make sure the storage has everything you need (weapons, foods, medicial items, and other essential stuff)
🎉🎉🎉CONGRATS🎉🎉🎉
You have the SAFEST RETIREMENT SHIP POSSIBLE
*Bonus for force users: perfect training ground for both light and dark side.

I love the YZ-775. Ended up being our base ship in our Star Wars RPG game. Completely customizable. Great hero ship.

The YZ-775 is my favorite and a little known ship !

I must go with the Gozanti class Cruiser for my pick maybe it's the country boy in me but having played the tabletop game where we made a Gozanti our adventure ship and owning a lot of the books on Star Wars ships, taking into consideration its low cost and parts Availability as well as its space and upgrade potential that just seems the ship for me. a Botanical Garden in one corner tear out some of the cargo space and install private rooms, a training area, expand the galley, add some Ava Speeder bikes that can collapse to save space, weapon storage, rec area and pack consumables into every spare space for a long trip turn the ship towards whatever group of planets me and my friends wish to visit and go.

I go with the Corellian YT-1930 transport, the number of ship are small so it's a big bonus for me. I really like the design, unlike the YT-2000, it doesn't have that weird hallway in the middle.

Really amazing video, I love the variety of ships we got here from freighters and luxury ships, to even having military ships as well.

As for my personal ship, as expensive as the Lucrahulk is, it's my kind of retirement ship. Incredible space and cargo capacity for everyone to live in for years, droid crews reducing the need for large numbers of people as crew, thick armor and loads of weapons in the battleship configuration that would make anyone think twice, and an iconic design that is easily recognizable to just about everyone. Yeah, this is my kind of retirement ship, especially the floating fortress that is its battleship configuration.

this is a great video, but I would love to see you do it by faction like if there is something imperial like if there is some first order like if there was some new republic you get it

Loved the #NoMansSky fan build at 1:56! I might have to build this…

Pro tip for the Fondor Haulcraft: Sanitary facility is adequate for emergency use ONLY. Once it accepts solid waste, the smell is never going to depart. Use is inadvisable unless you plan to resell, scrap, or scuttle the craft, at the next opportunity.
