This beach trip.. no people, shark teeth, pool, grill, great villa… heaven! I would stay here for sure!

I live just across Lemon Bay from the resort. I was the “Island Deputy” for the barrier islands in 1990, and honestly, the place hasn’t changed much since it was built in the ’80s—other than a fire that burned down one of the condos shortly after it opened. I’m very impressed that you made the walk from Palm Island to LGI. I had an ATV to make that trip every day, and I’m pretty sure my legs would have filed a formal complaint without it. I didn’t see the pavilion or restrooms at Don Pedro State Park in the video. I’m fairly certain Hurricane Ian took them down in 2022.
Here’s a little factoid: When George W. Bush was still governor of Texas and owned the Texas Rangers, he and the team would stay at the resort while they were here for spring training. Trust me, the island wasn’t nearly as quiet when they rolled into town. Enjoy all your videos, especially the ones filmed in my own backyard. :-)

I have been going to Palm Island Resort since the 1980's, and since we lived in Florida, we visited Palm Island more times than I can count. Its my favorite beach vacation. It has changed very little in all these years. It's total relaxation!

Love the video. Most Floridians don't get visit all of the local places you guys do. That was a lovely little island. Only having that one restaurant really means it's small. Can't miss dinner or you'll be hungry all night. Looking forward to the next video.

Palm Island and the other two are some of the most real of all the places I have seen you go to. It looks so fun, like exploring was like when you were a kid. Pretty awesome for the price. I love the idea of staying at the beach for the sake of being there rather than being at a resort that just happens to have a beach that maybe you look at the sunset once and spend more time shopping, dining, and going to clubs.
