Kook, the Fanatic

In this Warframe video we discuss the idea of aliens, and how they have yet to truly be implemenated in the Warframe universe. We talk about some of the stories and lore behind some of the biggest factions in Warframe, like the Grineer, Sentients and Orokin, and also talk a little bit about how the fact none of them are aliens make the game so much more interesting. Let me know what you think down in the comments below, thank you.

So, in a nutshell, almost everything in Warframe can be explained by one sentence:

"The Orokin did it"

@varzin6140 3 months ago

"There are no aliens in Warframe" is my favorite lore-tease to dump on new players.

My drifter will manifest a planet full of cat girls instead of divuri

They probably took one look at us during the Orokin era and went “Naw, we ain’t dealing with that shit.”

@mx6own0r8 3 months ago

I‘d argue that a Kubrow searching bodies for extra loot is pretty damn intelligent.

There is, or WAS alien lifeform in Warframe: the Flowers in Tau. Only alien flora and the Orokin seemly destroyed them all with the terraforming eggs.

Who needs aliens when we are just killing eachother just for cheese and drip😂

@Handoverteakettle 3 months ago

Y'know, the Orokin remind me of the old lady who swallowed a fly. They just kept creating problems in order to deal with their earlier problems.

With everything that happened in the Origin System, I don't think any aliens wants anything to do with us.

Idk if anyone else here has read Children of the Mind by Orson Scott Card but the Void in Warframe works almost exactly like the Outside in this book. It’s a place literally outside the universe, another dimension sort of, where something as simple as thoughts can take real physical form permanently. And after speaking with Roathe, I’m in agreement that this is pretty much exactly how The Indifference was created by Entrati

The only true alien life we know of is xenoflowers.

@Supaawesomeification 3 months ago

Also we have no real AI in Warframe either. The Cephalons are human minds turned digital with torture as is standard for literally everything the orokin do…

Frank Herbert did make a great idea for Dune. everyone has links to humanity of earth but due to time and different planets they might as well be aliens regardless.

@CasualSlayer 2 months ago

The indifference is definitely an alien of some sort. Sure it is more a metaphysical entity but still objectively extra terrestrial

@IllusionistsBane 3 months ago

The description of Venato Prime certainly said so. "...had any ever emerged from the darkness beyond Tau."

@BolTingBlazie 3 months ago

Every "alien" evolved from the human race. Tenno, Orokin, Corpus, Dax, and Grineee are all races that have their ancestry trace back to humanity when they were infected

@oneeGrimm 3 months ago

Well, there is at least one that can be considered as alien. But we still call him The Man...

And strangely, that makes the game richer, IMHO... that said, I think the Void is a sentient/conscious dimension that "collided" with humanity during the Zariman incident.
The Orokin may have thought it was "just" another dimension that could be used to travel but it was more than that (see Entrati's logs), when it felt other consciousnesses, it was probably surprised and reacted how it could. Its playful nature may even come from the fact that it had better "communication" with children.
