YouTube's Most Manipulative Animator

Years ago, the animation meme community was shaken by the shockingly degenerate actions of a subpar animator known most commonly as Cristali. Over the course of little more than a year, Cristali (AKA ValdroxX, AKA Zafiro, AKA Shantaly Shy, AKA Jade) became absolutely infamous throughout the community for tracing artwork, drawing questionable content, and harassment, as well as even more nefarious activities that got him labeled as a cultist, a creep, and -- eventually -- a full-blown criminal. So join me, jormy49, as we dive headfirst into this deplorable story. And please be warned that this one is disturbing.

Hi all, just a few points of clarification. According to Emi Matsuno, she was actually calling out Cristali even earlier than implied in this video— back when he had only 700 subscribers. As such, he had been harassing her since that time as well. The comment I showed in which he called someone a “little rat”, among… other things… was actually directed towards her, with the insults specifically targeting her as a reaction to her leaking screenshots in which he says some upsetting things about his fans. They then entered a long feud in which he would constantly strike her videos and attack her personally, to an even greater extent than what I covered.
Emi has expressed interest in possibly making her own video telling the story of what she went through during these years, as one of David’s most outspoken (and most harassed) critics. I will be offering any assistance I can, and if that video does end up being made, I will certainly link it here. In the meantime, her channel is @emimatsuno , so keep an eye on her channel.
Another clarifying point: there was a screenshot included in the original video which unfortunately lacked context, leading to GhostfaceNikol, someone who was staunchly against ValdroXx, to be harassed and bombarded with hateful messages. To anyone who saw the Instagram story which included a message against PeachyCub, that post was NOT written by GhostfaceNikol; rather, they were RESPONDING to a hater who left that message. My sincerest apologies to @ghostfacenikol for this misunderstanding.

DUDE i was there during all the Cristalli stuff hearing about it like 6 years later is so bizarre

@emimatsuno 2 years ago

i actually hate that everyone forgets that it wasnt Nawnii who did the first callouts. IT WAS ME!!! I was the one who made them, the "little rat" comment was LITERALLY directed at me. I confronted him DIRECTLY in dms back then. I WAS EMI MATSUNO😭😭😭😭

The fact he only got 3 years in prison says a lot about society.

Hi there! I'm Kastor - aka, Cream the Kitten.
Genuinely thank you so much for bringing this up again, this should never die down and be a lesson to those to never trust these weird creeps..
You bringing this to light makes me so happy and heard. Being talked about in such a light and not being blamed for him taking advantage of teens and literal kids is so refreshing.
Thank you for extending our voices to newer ears, too! Thank you, genuinely.

I remember when he got arrested, everyone was cheering, celebrating, and having a good time. It was honestly really nice that the whole animation meme community hated him.

@highfivepaw 2 years ago

Man I remember this dude. I absolutely hated him when I was 13 and when he got arrested I put ‘Best day ever’ over it and it ended up getting over 80k views, thats how much people didn’t like this dude.

Can’t believe it’s been 5 years already, time really passes

@applef1uffy 2 years ago

In hindsight 10 year old me probably shouldn’t have been as engaged with this drama as I was

@SniffleChinchilla 2 years ago

0:53 That didn't age well. I went into Peachycub's instagram which was linked from her abandoned yt, Peachycub and Meowbahh is not the same person which proven in her instagram story. Peachycub got framed from her abusers spreading the 'Meowbahh is Peachycub' stuff.

@purplehaze2358 1 year ago

The fact this man actually started a cult is some next-level Internet immorality. That’s seriously Onision-tier frankly.

Hey there! It's the one who formerly was known as Temperflash. I just came upon this video and phew this brought back a lot but I appreciate you bringing more light to the situation and to keep people wary about bad people online

Hi!! I was one of the people who participated on the Happier MAP.
I remember the joy and pure shock I felt when my friends and I heard of David's arrest. The fact that it was just a few hours after Nawnii made her "apology" video was insane. I cannot believe its been 5 years since. You did an amazing job on this video!!

@peanutjelly4817 1 year ago

I think they came back as Mizuno Melody, same art style, similar character, sexualized content, same grammar, editing, and playing off as a Japanese girl who just so happened to also speak Spanish. They got their comments off in majority of their vids too

As someone apart of the amc — it’s very accurate to say most of the drama in the community gets boiled down to the least important. For instance, a popular person now is toffux, who is a straight up n.zi. She’s posted multiple antisemitic animations, creating cults, doxxing r.pe victims, etc. most people care about the most minimal aspects like her not finishing art for people.

18:10 I have nerve damage on what use to be my dominant hand. Instead of just finding any justification for stealing art I relied on a little tool called vector layers. I just use the straight line tool, drag it from point A to point B and then manipulate the line into any shape after. It makes very clean lines where as drawing freely with the same hand will result in very shaky lines. Art always has a lot of limitations, it could be a disability or placing restrictions like how professionals in any industry do but find a way to work around the limitation. I know this guy is obviously lying about some disability but it really boils my blood when people throw it around like it's a good shield.

That Mizuno Melody page you mention near the end really needs to be looked into. It's mighty suspicious and it's weird they receive literally hundreds of dollars, upwards of even a thousand USD on some of the few videos I peeped at, most of which contained clothed but blatantly sexual content. How does YouTube allow that and why are they getting so much money? It seems like a money funnel where they're being paid for something else, idk.
