Solar panels on the roof of a camper van is very popular. In certain conditions and locations it probably makes sense to have 200-300 watts of solar panels mounted to the roof of the van.
However, in many cases, especially with a quality lithium energy system onboard, the solar panels become less useful.
In this episode of The Whatβs Up Wednesday!? VanLife Show, veteran VanLife traveler and YouTube Influencer, Scott Watson of Go Small. Live Large! makes the case why Embassy RV Dolphin Class B RV do not come with solar panels installed.

VanLife is my devotion. I am Scott Watson. In 2017, I was unhappy with a traditional house and a long Chicago commute. In 2018, I bought a Winnebago Travato 59GL Camper Van and reinvented my life. In February 2019, I became a full-time Class B RV traveler. Now in my seventh year of VanLife travel of days, weeks, or month, I share my experiences to help others achieve their travel dreams faster and more fully. Thanks for watching and being part of our Go Small. Live Large! Community.
