Say what you will about Doctor Who, but 0:11: Realizing that you aren’t yourself and you have lost control of your own body. The pure realization that you could never go back, what you’ve become, sends you into a status of pure, unadulterated suffering and sorrow. Your humanity stolen, your body taken, and your very soul being suppressed just to have a perverted taste of the concept of immortality.

It is horrifying, sorrowful, and powerful. A personal fear of mine is just losing control, and that’s exactly what these Cybermen have had happen to them: their very minds enslaved to algorithms and metal.

I love how Mickey says to Rose 'Im coming to get you,' just like Nine did. He really did come into his own in the end, love him!

The idea that what has been done to these people is so horrific that if they become aware of it the horror literally kills them is actually an awesome concept

The thing that I love about this episode is the character development of Mickey. From idiot to hero etc, and it doesn't end here. In future episodes he's a hero in his own right, more and more as we see him until he finally leaves the show.

Unlike Danny Pink. We barely get our heads wrapped around him when he randomly dies, then sacrifices himself. But by then he was so poorly developed that I didn't care. I didn't care that he died, I didn't care that Clara loved him, and I didn't care when he was a Cyberman.

The music in this is on another level. The moment Pete starts scrambling up as he realizes the Cyber Controller is just beneath him gives me chills EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.
