GMs are saying this is sketchy and the 1200s saying this is easy for GMs lol

I think it was the post-match interview that really made people suspicious. It seemed like Hans made all these moves without being able to explain what made them actually good.

As others have said, these moves are not impossible to find for a GM. If I recall Magnus's tweet correctly, the key issue was apparently that Hans was visibly not thinking too much about these moves and did them too quickly.

For a GM that’s studied endgame theory.  I don’t think this is that hard for Neiman to find.

These are good moves but a human can find these moves. Most calculations where short.

e3 isn't hard to find, but the problem is that for this to make sense, hans would have had to calculate that the bishop knight endgame was good for black. And he wouldve had to calculate how to force a rook exchange to stop the king attack. Otherwise losing the f7 pawn can get really bad really quickly. This isn't obvious since if you check the position at 6:33 the bishop is in a strong position and black has a lot of pawns stuck on light squares. Also it's an open position so conventional theory would assume the bishop is better. He has to calculate to the exchange and know it's favorable to him otherwise why would he open himself up like this? Can it be done? Yes. But it's not an intuitive line at all.

With very few pieces, I don't think it is so hard to find that move.

I thought there was some suspicious moves before the video started but I don't thing Hans was cheating. It is hard to see that stuff but not impossible

I still believe that magnus was just salty after losing his unbeaten streak. These moves don't seem that hard for a GM.

It’s not only the difficulty of the moves. It was more the fact that Neiman couldn’t explain the moves afterwards

People dont seem to understand that gms see the game differently. When were seeing the moves in this video theyre being explained to us step by step so it appears easy to see like the fork as someone else said. The difference is that in an actual gm game these calculations are made probably at least 10 moves in advance. It looks shady when these moves are made in gm games because the move you see physically happening is just a precursor to the plan that is supposed to emerge a lot further down the line. When Hans made that first pawn move and it lead dismantling Magnus a lot further down the line thats why its sus.
