Honestly the fact that Hikaru played perfectly and kept the position equal over 20 moves in while Dubov had prepared all of the moves is insane

This format is Dave Howell at his best. More of these videos please.

If there's no pawn sacrifice, it's not Dubov.

A spectacular game. Imagine you're playing so well and you're being demolished at the same time. Mr. Howell's commentary definitely helped to feel the magic. Thank you.

Imagine running directly in your opponent's deep preparation and make more than 20 perfect moves. Brilliant game by both players.

He probably prepared with a laptop for more than 10 minutes

Not only is David probably the best commentator but he also explains games in a crystal clear way.

definitely a good series here

Inclusion of the footage of the players adds a nice human touch to the wild game. We hope to see more games presented by David.

Isn't it ironic how Dubov said Fabi has less natural talent and works insanely hard, and then Fabi does so well in Freestyle while we have Dubov doing insane prep.

It was taking place in Russian Impressionism Museum (as you can see, Dubov and Naka are surrounded by paintings and other pieces of art). Impressionism as a style of art has something in common with Tal's style of playing chess: it's dynamic, lively and at the same time light.

i really love this style of chess, aggressive, pressure, giving up pieces if necessary to gain in other positioning/tactic ways

I hope we see more of this from Dubov. He's always been my favorite to watch

Giri vs Dubov 2022 was also an incredible game

2018 dubov was monster at rapid 💀

Dubov is the most exciting player, I enjoy watching him and Alireza especially short time games, Alireza is very tricky

What a great series, love the videos David, thanks!

Idk what's better: the game itself or David's coverage of this game. Phenomenal work.

Howell's Hall of Fame...bring it on. More videos like this please.

Thank you Howell for these series, beautifully presented.
