GOD BLESS THE REPUBLIC OF IRELAND'S MILITARY. I WAS AN AMERICAN PARATROOPER, AND I WAS RANGER QUALIFIED (US ARMY 505 PIR 82ND AIRBORNE DIVISION)
I TOOK PART IN INTERNATIONAL MILITARY EXERCISES, AND MY UNIT HOOKED UP WITH A COMPANY OF INFANTRY TROOPS FROM THE REPUBLIC OF IRELAND. ALL I CAN SAY IS THAT THESE IRISH TROOPS WERE OUTSTANDING! THEIR DISCIPLINE, THEIR PHYSICAL FITNESS LEVEL, THEIR TACTICS AND STRATEGIES WERE ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL!  ADDITIONALLY, THE IRISH TROOPS FIGHTING SPIRIT WAS OFF THE CHARTS! THESE GUYS FEAR NOTHING! MY EXPERIENCE WITH THESE ELITE IRISH TROOPS, HAS LEFT ME WITH GREAT MEMORIES.  AFTER OUR 3 WEEK TRAINING TRAINING PERIOD, WE HAD A BIG DINNER TOGETHER. IT WAS THE...BEST! I WISH WE COULD HAVE STAYED LINKED-UP PERMANENTLY!  HERE'S TO THE FEARLESS ELITE TROOP'S OF THE IRISH REPUBLIC!!  BRAVO IRELAND!!

Irish peacekeepers : Independent and real peacekeepers in the world who do not obey the orders of usa and israel.

We all know how hard, our own peace was fought for, some would say still not quite there, but we know the tole and just how fragile it is to maintain, god bless our Peacekeepers 🫡

My father did months of Training  before going to the Congo in January 61 with 34th Infantry Battalion. He was a Bren Gunner.

6th year history student here, doing my RSR project on the first mission in Lebanon and just wanted to clarify that the first UN mission that the Irish defence forces took part in and arrived in Lebanon was in 1958 not 1978.  50 officers were sent on an unarmed surveillance mission observing the cease fire line in the east-west border between Israel and Lebanon. 0:38

I dare say the Irish could hold their own on any field of battle.

As a Brit, I wish my country was known and respected around the world for peacekeeping instead of warmongering.

I am an US military veteran.   The accents and uniforms are different, but it is interesting to see that soldiering is still the same, no matter what nation you are from.    I had the same feelings and thoughts as these young men have on my first deployment overseas.

Lebanese love the Irish.
