Hello! 👋 I just realized there's an issue with the audio of the version I made of the theme where it's clipping/peaking. My apologies!

Kudos for checking actual gameplay content for this boss to get yourself context about the dynamic between the song and the fight itself.

the boss movements are strictly choreographed with the music. If you pause the game during the fight the music pauses.

Also great spot comparing with Mantis Lords music. There is some similarity in the actual fights too

one of the best bosses from the game!
The music was really good and you did a really great video!

There's a cool evolution to the track in the form of another track that comes later in the game. I really like how quite a few tracks in this game either build upon each other, or other motifs and pieces of the original games. The music isnt just representing areas or bosses, but usually telling a complex story in itself as the game progresses.

My favorite boss OST and my second favorite OST in the game!

nice one, looking forward to more videos of Silskong OST!!

! Spoilers ahead !

For some basic info (without too much details) on the lore of this boss.

The two automatons are actually designed as the residents of a destroyed kingdom called Verdania. Throughout the game, you can find a character called the Green Prince, who is the former prince of Verdania and one of the two insects represented by the automatons (the second one being his boyfriend/husband).

By the end of the game you get access to the kingdom of Verdania through a dream where you're able to fight the Green Prince and his soulmate in a fight behaving similarly to the Cogwork Dancers but harder.

The actual complete lore about this prince and Verdania is a really touching story and I recommend you do give a listen to the music of the Green Prince fight (Clover Dancers)

lovely analysis as usual <3

This reminds me of Danny Elfman and Tim Burton.

I wish you could do FF4 Zermous boss fight music.

Probably the biggest reason why silksong music is now almost entirely real instrument playing, is just because Team Cherry had pretty severe money issues while making the first game so they could not afford it, but with the success of that first game, had no money issues at all in the making of silksong.

Also personally, while you're talking about your analysis of the song, I would personally prefer the music to be even quieter, entirely removed or replaced by something calmer.
It might be just a kind of ADHD accessibility issue, the way you include the music here makes it harder for me to consistently take in what you're saying
