A movie that Bryce has seen but Rob hasn’t?! I’ll just check outside to see if the world has ended 😂

I always get chills watching River Phoenix in that. Knowing what happened to him just adds this extra layer of sadness to his performance

It always breaks my heart too, listening to Chris talk about trying to return the money. It must have obliterated what little faith in adults he had left 😭

When I was a teen my dad used to talk about this film all the time. He'd only seen it once and hadn't caught the name and was gutted because he thought it was such a wonderful film that reminded him of his childhood. One Christmas I managed to work out the name of the film and ordered it for him as a present. I'll never forget that Christmas. His face lit up and he said "is this it? Is this THE film?" and we all gathered around to watch it together.

It’s always a bit chilling to look at the actor’s lives afterwards and see how they mirrored the characters. Corey got a bit nutty after having been dealt a bad hand in life, Will writes, River died too young and Jerry leveled up as an actor and has a stable family

RIP River Phoenix, 1970-1993.

this movie is so beautifully sad… rip to river phoenix 🥺💔

Note they told you Chris was gonna die at the beginning of the movie.  Reread the paper

The scene where Chris is telling Gordie to follow his dream of being a writer and that it's not stupid or lame. My favorite scene in the movie. Easily one of the best films about friendship ever made. Chris loved Gordie and knew he was gonna be somebody. Even went so far as to say "Leave me behind if I start to weigh you down." Who could ask for a better friend than that?

The chokehold River Phoenix had on us back then. Such an awful death. He was so talented.

River and Wil were so good in this. I cry at the end every time. The soundtrack is so good too.

36:36 I was working at a movie theater in high school when this came out. We’d stand in the back of the theater and sing along to the song at the end, before cleaning up the popcorn buckets and soda cups people had left behind.

I love how they give away Chris’s fate at the very beginning with the newspaper, and nobody sees it coming. It’s intentionally done that way, so nothing wrong with it, got me, it’s actually great storytelling

i cried on the couch for like 30 minutes after my dad showed me this movie, it’s been my favorite ever since❤

The Lost Boys would be a great reaction ! ❤

Love this one. RIP River Phoenix. 💕

Y’all should watch Now and Then! It’s another classic!

In the novella that the movie based on, “The Body”, Teddy and Vern both die early as adults too. I wonder if they changed it for the movie to make Chris’s death more impactful.

I came into this thinking “yeah rob has for sure seen this!” I’m pleasantly surprised 😂
